Yeah she looks surprisingly good, I dont even recognize her in the first pic.

Molik sets dance floor alight - Sarah Wotherspoon

THERE was plenty of help on hand to douse the flames when tennis golden girl Alicia Molik set the dance floor on fire last night.
Molik, who swapped her racquet for high heels for a TV show, has already firmed up a cheer squad of 60,000 CFA colunteers.
The firefighting army will be hoping Molik has the moves to make it all the way after she pledged to donate her winnings to the community organisation.
"It's a service which helps out not only children and the elderly but families and communities too," she said.
"I think it's a service that helps out the average Australian and who knows when you might be in the midst of a country fire. You have to admire them. Everyone works in their job and still commits to volunteering to a good cause."
Molik said she was nervous about her first dance for the show.
"I have to be lighter on my feet for dancing than I do on the tennis court," she said. "Sometimes I think I'd rather be slugging it out in 40C heat on Rod Laver Arena than dancing in high heels."
She said the show had been a great way for her to get her mind off tennis for a while.
After a career high reaching the quarter finals at last year's Australian Open, a middle ear problem disrupted Molik's game for most of the year and she has not played since October.
"I've been doing a whole range of things to take my mind off tennis and having to focus and give so much effort and still have direction is good," she said.
"I'm looking forward to getting back on the tour though."

:D That last line is like music to my ears, hopefully it's sooner than later ;)

I really enjoyed watching Alicia this week. The good thing is that she doesn't look too unfit and she won't have to do months of training before her big comeback.

And possibly one of the few dancers who didn't need the "spray-tan":lol: Kate Langenbroek(sp? yes her) on radio was talking about the Biggest Loser on radio and said she was glad only one chick had to see her in her undies (spray-tan chick) lol.

This tuesday will be terribly interesting...cha cha...she can't hang onto her partner so much...hope she's shaken the nerves...and perhaps fancier footwork when she gets back on tour ;)

Her ear infection messes with her balance, and she's unable to play tennis, but she can dance? Dancing does not require excellent balance?

Liek quoted up further, she said she uses John-Paul as her balancing pole, but she's still affected by the balance, they showed her back on the tennis court last night playing against her partner, and she said its so glad to be back "home" so hopefully thats a good sign :D

Good question I thought the same thing when she was announced as one of the contestants but to my surpise she no doing too bad. She says its not having any effect but it must be having some. She's not the best dancer on the show but good on her for having a go I think she'll be gone in the next two to three weeks though but it was a surpise elemination last week who knows.

Its good to see her keeping busy while she is out. I hope comes back soon though...i would like to see her dancing with the balls again. :bounce: :bounce:

;) She did a great job this week, she's improving by the week. Not too sure about the dress this week but oh well, she still looked stunning. Can feel it in my bones that she'll be back soon, she was tring to explain her dance last week and how it's about hurtful love etc, and she said she could feel it because she is "away from the game she loves" :worship:
