Its a small tournament. i think a train ticket will cost about 30 dollars and the entrance is only 15 bucks, so money is not that big an issue. other options are do nothing that weekend, hitch a ride to Holland, do nothing, or go to some other town nearby paris to change the air.

Go to the tournament. Don't even think about doing something else!!!

That's what I would say. I try to go to every small tiny very tiny little tournament, but a 75K - oh my god. I would buy my tickets beforehand(nah...) and made it clear that my camera works by checking it every day 2 weeks beforehand.

:D

Yeah I think im gonna go. Im kinda sad cause i dont see Camille Pin in last years' line-up. Maybe i can get the WTA Tour to move the tournament to Holland? hehe

I'd go to Dinan, it's a big ITF so you will have the chance to see a bunch of players who will do some noise in future, plus you can always discover new faves, chat with players, etc, they're usually kind with fans out of all that WTA competition :)
Plus it's in Bretagne, a nice place I want to visit someday, so do it, take pics and send them to me :p

You should definitely go if you like the players who will be playing. And even if you dont, the matches will still be entertaining and u can see players u havent seen before and find some new faves. So go.

So yes, think i will be going. Its close to Rennes. Kinda sucks to go solo though, "Sluggy" likes the humans... I'll see if there is youth hostel in Dinan, no point in splurging on this.

€5 is not exactly unaffordable. Its the hotel that will cost more. Any froggies going? It'd be more fun to watch the tennis and share a meal with a french person (with nice manners  ) then to go it alone

More news: Found that Dinan is a beautiful Mideaval (spelling?) city with walls surrounding the cities, castles, etc. Should be pretty sublime, with restaurants and dancing girls (ok maybe there are not dancing girls...). There is even a youth hostel in Dinan - 15,30€ to become a hostel member and 11,50€ for the room for one night. 26,80 is not bad considering the admission is only 5 euros. how does that sound?

The train ticket is €74,60 roundtrip. So im in for about 110 euros not including food. What do you think?

Salut Sluggy !
