I have yet to hear anything. Do they post the allocations throughout february?

At least one of the 6 addresses I used should be successful. :o:tape:

Are you talking about the Public Ballot or the LTA Ballot?
I know that with the LTA, you normally hear sometime in March if you have got tickets.

I was wondering about this too! I know a couple of folk who've also entered (the public ballot that is ;) ), but no-one (including me! ;) ) seems to have heard anything yet.... (Although I did hear of an overseas poster, I shan't say who :p, that has apparently got some tickets in the public ballot!)

 tut tut you naughty person! ;)

I'm still anxiously waiting for a lovely letter to plop through my letter box too  .

Mind you, it pisses me off no end that in the UK we're all so bloody naturally subservient that we are prepared every year to subject ourselves to this humiliating selection process, whilst for every other grand slam and tennis tournament on the planet you can go online and just bloody well buy tickets with filthy lucre!

Someone suggested to me over the weekend that I could bypass this humiliating process by possibly shagging Cliff Richard for a fortnight. I replied that I was desperate to go to Wimbly ..................... but not THAT desperate! :o

*fifi skidaddles before Sue Barker, Ginny Wade, Cilla Black and the rest of the wrinklies come in to whoop her arse* :bolt:

I used to do that in a former life, when tents were made of canvas :o .

These days its tickets in advance and a few nights at the Holiday Inn, or nada! ;)

We've made all our family friends join the LTA so we can bags their tickets if they win....

The lengths people go to to play that ridiculous system. Only the British could make it this complicated and expensive.

*Ahem* Got my letter about three weeks ago. Finally, after three tries, got Centre Court tickets for the first Saturday :D

The only thing is they make you jump through hoops to pay for the darn things. Since I don't live in the UK and don't bank there (obviously), had to send a wire transfer. Cost me a little over $200, but it's worth it ;)

I didn't even try this year :( I forgot to be honest. But I enjoy the camping/queuing anyway, the atmosphere is great.

I didn't bother to apply either, I agree with you Barlos about the queuing-thats where the real atmosphere and real hardcore tennis fans are. Sur if you queue early enough the morning of the quarters you are almost guaranteed centre or court 1. I'm probably going to head over to the french open, could anyone tell me how tickets are got for this? thanks.

Oh creep. I guess it's hard reading about all the posters going to Wimbledon, isn't it. I mean, with you having no money for even a ground pass, you must be very, very bitter.

No tickets yet  I heard on 31st January last year, but then I also heard in June once too so I won't panic yet.

I didn't enter the publc ballot as I get entered into the LTA memeber ballot. The LTA ballot is drawn on 1st March and I can check online from 3rd March (my birthday ;) ) if I got tickets. problem is, if I do get tickets....well, I can't go because I'll be in the USA for the summer

This is the exact wording on the ballot application form:

"If you have not heard from us by March 2006, please assume that your application has not been successful in the main ballot; however, as declined and returned tickets are re-balloted up to the day of play, we may be able to offer you tickets at a later stage."

What, so you do a Julian Clary impression or something and you get tickets? Fanny, let's get your lead on!

I just realised what sort of poorness I was laughing at. Julian Clary disgusts me.

I'm not a fan particularly but why does he disgust you?

!<blocparty>!

Because he does.

Did you hear from the ballot yet?

I didn't enter. I always forget. Is it December you have to apply?

Last year I went and queued for tickets after work and got in quite easily.

I've heard nada from Wimbly, so as we're into March, I guess that's it: wide eyed and ticketless again

Still, as my good old dad used to say, you get a much better view on the tele and the Pimms is cheaper at home ;)
