I think Maria Sharapova will win this time, because she played so consistent against Vera Douchevina today. Her groundstrokes were very good especially her forehand. The serve of Martina Hingis was not that good in Dubai as it was in Tokyo. So if Maria attacks the serve of Hingis, I think Maria will win in two close sets.

Slower surface doesn't help Hingis serve and she hasn't been good serving this week. But Maria's groundies and serve are less eficient on this too, so

I think Hingis will win again, but it won't be as big of a beat-down as it was in Tokyo. She'll still win in straight sets.

maria she served really well today and in the second set(didnt see the first) she was getting a lot of cheap points on her serve, more than in tokyo. to me it seems maria is nearing her top form(still not sure) and martina is getting tired even she admitted she had overdone her conditional training since tokyo. i saw martina play against mirza and although she played ok it wasnt near as good as against maria so if shes not on form i think maria might just edge the win. also maria said after her win that she doesnt like to lose 2 matches to the same player in a row, and was laughing and seemed to me to have sussed somthing about how to beat hingis or else realise how to beat her by feeling in top form.

so Miss Maria Sharapova doesn't like losing to the same player 2 times in a row:rolleyes:

THEN SHE Probably hates Playing Queen Justine & Kimmie:lol:

Anywho, Player Comparison

SERVE...should Favor Miss Masha

Returns....w/ MARTINA HINGIS

Forehands....I'm going w/ Masha

Backhands....to Martina Hingis

Movement....going w/ Martina Hingis

volleys & transition game...I'm going w/ Martina Hingis

this surface is slower so it might favor Martina Hingis

BUT SINCE SHE's OVERTRAINED & appears to BE TIRED

ADVANTAGE Miss Maria Sharapova

COME ON MARTINA HINGIS!!!!!!!

PLEASE don't HIT HIT OF UEs!!!!!!!!!!!!!
& MOVE MISS Maria Sharapova all over the COURT!!!!!!!!

Hingis in 2, she is just too good of a thinker for Maria. Maria's blondness will come into effect.

Maria's movement will be key. If Martina can exploit that (and we all know she can), Martina will win. However, I think Maria will win just based on gut feeling. Something like 6-2, 4-6, 7-6

Martina will win imho so I voted for her. Hingis and this Maria matchup is old news to Hingis. She never had much trouble with the slower moving power babes. Once the speedier babes exploited Hingis's game it was still no easy walk over beating Hingis. Unless you are Serena J. Williams.

So Hingis in two sets. As far as Hingis being tired. Well Maria gets tired also infact I think Hingis is more conditioned than Masha. Hingis will make Masha kill that extra ball. Which will tire Masha out physically and mentally. I do know it can go either way but I will favore Hingis because she knows how to exploit Masha's weakness.

I'm going to rewatch the TPP match today just to bring the good vibes to Martina

She should do the same. Remember exactly what she did to break Masha down. This match will be an interesting test. Masha will be out for revenge, but if Martina wins, she can solidify the fact that her win was not a fluke. Come on Martina!

i don't think martina will win this time. in tokyo, maria wasn't prepared enough to beat the genius. she didn't know what to expect whereas this time it's different. martina isn't playing as well as in tokyo. so maria will win in two sets 6/4 6/2. but i really hope martina can win again ;)

has Maria developed a PLAN B in case PLAN A gets torn apart and exposed?

This is the main thing i think plan A didnt work against Martina and she doesnt seem able to do anything else other than hit hard or hit harder.

i wonder how she feels losing to amelie twice in row, JHH three times, and kim four times:tape:

I dont think that Maria has changed much since their last meeting. She played Douchevina who pretty much just returned everyball without anything, once again, Martina will win again i think.

hingis should be so lucky!
maria to win for me not sure how many sets but it will be very tight, with maria edging it i also feel a tie-breaker too, with maria winning cause of her serve.

"I do not have revenge on my mind, but I don't like losing to the same player twice in a row," said Sharapova. "Martina played some amazing tennis in Tokyo, but it is a different match tomorrow."

does that mean that maria didnt play well, and is in better form, but cause maria cant speak for martina. either way i think masha will win.
