Just found this on the BBC tennis site. I think the reporter does not know about tennis LOL. I have highlighted the bit in red and then look at the picture.

Glad that stuff doesnt just happen in Australia come on most people who have seen a bit of tennis let along a sports reporter should know the difference between a forehand and backhand

You would think so.

It is not even worth writing to the BBC to point out their small mistake LOL. As they will never reply.

Oh well

Mistakes during all OGF, about eveything,
During the interview just after her match, Mary repeated what the journalist told her and when she said it you could see on her face that she doubted about it
(I mean Mary just finished her match she was so happy, she didn't really pain attention to what the journalist said but she did  )

The best was Dinara, this one was funny...i don't remember exactly the words but it sound like that

Dinara said : she beat me the last time it was RG i think but I'm happy because I beat her today, it was hard...

French journalist : Dinara is happy to be there in Paris...blablabla

I was like, when did she say that, she didn't say a word about what he translated ...

Thank you Saby. It makes you think that, do they even listen to what the players say.

An then they just make up what they want

This one was great from Aussie Open Qualifying news...

"Li, China's Olympic gold medalist in women's doubles, upset Germany's Elena Baltacha 6-2, 6-4 in a second round clash. "

Lol
The standard of reporting on the BBC web site has really become poor last year or so! I think they've sacked a lot of the workforce working on it? It's still one of the best web sites though

Another day, another blunder by someone paid to report about tennis who couldn't tell you what Slam is missing from Martina Hingis's resume.
