Where´s Alex ?

I add her with Dokic! :wavey:

There are many long time injured players like Tulyaganova, Suarez, Bovina, Capriati, Rubin, ... but I just wanted to mention those who are off top 100 because of a slump. ;)

you should have listed the age of the players as well. Those under 25 have a good chance, for those over 25 it's not so likely.

The only under-25 players on the list are Schaul, Dokic, and Kapros.

I think with good results Schaul and Kremer should make the Top100 again and maybe verge on the outskirts of the Top50.

they are all capable, but slumps are so hard to come out off

How about Rossana De Los Rios ? Remember her great run at RG? She hasn't had much luck in the challengers so far this year but hopefully come clay season she'll do so damage :)

Even though they never got to the top 50, Lubomira Kurhajcova and Alina Jidkova should be considered in that thread, they both were close and are out of the top 100 now.

Anne Kremer : Career high 18 Currently ranked as 145
Henrieta Nagyova: Career high 21 Currently ranked as 146
Tamarine Tanasugarn: Carrer high 19 Currently ranked as 153
Claudine Schaul: Career high 41 Currently ranked as 185
Jelena Dokic: Career high 4 Currently as 397

I think those has a decent shot at getting back.

What about Iroda Tulyaganova (16; 387) & Maja Matevzic (38; 633)?

Out of those listed, I think all of them could return to Top 100 with a few months of good form. The only ones I would write off are Stevenson & Kuti Kis - they just haven't been showing enough signs of life lately. For the most likely ones I will pick Dokic, Tanasugarn & Nagyova.

I would love to see Claudine and Anne back in the Top 100 but I'm afraid to say Anne has a better chance. Claudine just keeps playing the wrong tournaments. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if both of them are overtaken this year by a certain other Luxembourgish player.

Most likely is probably Anne Kremer. She's had decent results lately and appears to actually be playing a full schedule.

The rest are too old or too flaky or too untalented. I'd go with Kapros to have a shot, only due to her youth. Her serve is godawful though.

Claudine Schaul,Maja Matevzic,Iroda Tulyaganova,Alona Bondarenko (even if she was never in the top 50) and Clarisa Fernandez should comeback.
I think Dokic can comeback too if she begins to play more often and doesn't withdraw anymore.

You missed Rossana De Los Rios...currently ranked about #490 :o She's been as high as #51 and a former junior #1 and grand slam champion :worship:

She has been playing in American challengers for the past year and a bit with not too much success but she's lost to the winners or the finalist in most of the few tourny's she's played.

If she can just get a challenger under her belt, it will boost her confidence greatly and could get back to the top 100! :D

I think Anne Kremer may have a shot... and Panova too if she plays more.

I wish Osterloh, Tanasugarn, and Stevenson would... but I don't think thats likely

Lilia will make it back. She won the first two challengers of her career recently (a 75K in Pittsburgh last November, and a 50K in Hawaii a couple of weeks ago). Once her Acapulco quarterfinal points come off, she's got all of 50 points to defend between the beginning of March and the end of September. It'll happen.

Lindsay Lee-Waters will make it back as well. The only reason she dropped out of there was a result of pregnancy.

Chladkova should make it back as well. I almost fell on the floor when I saw she was ranked #194 in the world. She is WAYYY too good to be ranked there. She's a top 40 or 50 player in my opinion.

Magui Serna should make it back, and I'd like to think Barbara Schwartz can do the same provided both can stay healthy.

Dokic, Pratt, Panova, and Schaul should make it back as well. Potentially Stevenson, although that's a bit questionable.
