what was unreal about it?

There are only a few tournaments that really matter. The THREE slams, okay the Australian as well. But it's like this, Wimbledon, French, US open and then, just then the Australian, that's what REALLY players want to win.

Then we have that Indianapolis 500/Miami/Liptons, what's that called now? Then maybe just maybe Indian wells and the German and Italian opens, but they don't really mean much. It's like the indoor tournaments, whats that all about!? Like who cares about Zurich or Linz, these tournaments don't really count. You may as well win a doubles title as win a singles title at an event like this.

but Mary's victory over Momo in the round robin was no fluke :tape:

and yes, Ivanovic was the last player to beat Momo, but I'm not convinced yet that she has Momo's number :p (they have to play more for that to be determined... she doesn't have the kind of H2H that Lindsay or Serena have vs Momo, for instance...)

come on with ivanovic... it was her first match of the season, even in her first match at the AO Sun the chineese took one set from amélie so we couldnt say that her "real level" was there.

We saw today what amélie level is against mary pierce who is much stronger than ivanovic so please.

Rejoice!!!

It’s a shame I couldn’t and cannot see this match, because I just got back to Uni and no Eurosport (I’m losing the will to Live :p)

But I have to just say a huge congrats to Amelie. Another one of my predictions for her has come ture!! What are the chances? I said Tatiana would be a banana skin and lone behold she battles bravely from match point down, and I told you – if she got through the title was hers. I must say, sometimes I impress myself.

It IS a good time to be a Mauresmo fan, and I believe it will be a good YEAR to be one. This New found confidence, is not temporary. You have to realise, that defeats will no longer tear away at her confidence as much as before, because if you look at what she has achieved – she can not doubt her abilities. She has won it all, and I think after the years of being so close… it’s happening.

This is Amelie’s year. There will be losses, but also great wins. MARK MY WORDS!!!

Great win by Amelie. She's on a roll now.

If Amelie has found confidence and has gotten past choking, it may be a very lean time for the rest of the tour.

Wow, she's just glowing, isn't she? She looks wonderful on the court at the moment, really happy and relaxed. Well done Amélie, it looks like you've woken up.
