View Full Version : Tim Ryan and his skills of bs-ing.

I just happened to watch these trainings for downhill skiing (severely taped delayed in US) and hearing one of the commentators I loathe, Tim Ryan, do his thing.
In 2002, Tim was given a 4th commentating spot for equestrian at Athens Olympics.
Dude had no idea what he was getting himself into.
This year the 30 year old veteran at commentating seems to have done some serious research or is just bs-ing his ass off.
The thing is with all that researching (or bs-ing) you would have thought by now Tim would stop mixing up Serena and Venus. :tape:
Its been a good 8 years since both players have been on tour.

Is he really that blind?

Tim annoys the shit outta me. Really I can't pinpoint exactly what it is. He ruined Amelia Island last year for me almost.
He did redeem himself somewhat though when he called Lindsay "a queen of grass" at Wimbledon last year during the Safina match. Then he pissed me off again when Lindsay threw her racquet down towards the end of the 1st set of the Kuznetsova match saying something like, "the umpire choosing to ignore it." I was like, What? It was one of the mildest incidents of it I've ever seen. Even Pam was like, "Good, it wasn't that bigga deal."
He's just an idiot. And, to be shallow, I don't like the way he looks either.

I like him, because he's not as negative as some of the other commentators. Although some of his commentary is embarassing, like at the AO this year when Venus was serving to Pironkova up 6-5 in the 3rd and she went down 15-40 and Tim says "two break points to force the tie break"....I was like :tape:
