Is Amelie going to win her third tournament in a row, if she wins here in Paris.

So, it would go YEC-AO-Paris Indoors?

Last year should never have happened. But oh well, now we all know.

Amelie has been very impressive. A 9 match win streak now, and she seems so much more relaxed and confident on court. Those Grand slam, + YEC title seem to be doing good things.

Keep it going Amelie. Take the title, and keep building the confidence.

yes I saw the match and amé was really good in defense and on attack too.She missed a volley or two but always keep focus on her game. She hit some very good winners with her forehand down the line, maked safina running very much, safina seemed tired just after the first set. When amé is playing like that you can do just one thing: admire her.

Physically Amélie was impressive, like in the AO.. You just feel that she could run, run, run and never be tired.. She was extremely solid and confident. I think that since her victories in the YEC and AO she's a different player. Beforehand you could feel the moment when Momo would choke.. But now you feel nothing  Momo ! :D

Amelie played SO good. The confidence was just dripping of her. Safina was pretty much on fire, but was forced to go for more than she wanted, because Amelie was covering the court amazingly well.

Amelie was aggressive too, and just striking the ball brilliantly. Golovin is the oly question mark - because i'm not sure if theyhave met. But otherwise, Mauresmo can Beat Mary and Patty is she carries on playing like this.

And she is just loving the crowd. I think they'll be a new look for Mauresmo at the french. She seems to actually feed of the support, and she knows sh can do it now.

Players usually, expect Mauresmo to throw away the match when it gets tight, if they stay consistent, but she is holding her ground. Last year Amelie would have lost to safina, but now...... WOW.

WTA will be Mauresmorised! Hear her roar!

realisticly,at best,i think she'll only win one another GS this year and in my opininon,it will be Wimbledon.
she definitely has the chance and the game(proved by her past results there) to win it.
obviously she also has the ability to win the FO too but i don t think it'll happen this year.....just a feeling

lolo, i'm not say Amelie will win a GRAND SLAM even if she is capable, but i think this year could see her most consistent performance yet.

Amelie is the kind of player, that should and could be beating the likes of Ivanovic, Safina, Dushevina, and an array of players ranked below her. She is that good. I think the belief that she has now, after her YEC triumph and AO title, i think we will see consistent defeats of these players. She Owns the russians also.

If she can keep it going, expect more titles than ever before, and break throughs in Slams. She should have made the finals of wimbledon these past 2 years - and i think now the burden has been released - she will make the next step.

They'll still be disappontment, but the pain, and fear of pain of big losses is probably less / over for her. She has done it all, and now it's just adding to her already full bag.

She will be THUNDEROUS! Mark my words... i'm not usualy wrong when i make predictions about Mauresmo. :p

I think this match won't be another easy 6-2 double, just because they haven't met. But i think Amelie will come through.

If Amelie Makes the final - i think the title will be hers. Golovin is the Banana skin. She knows what to expect from the others.

Great post I agree. No one is saying that Momo is gonna become the tour's Federer, but now she will be able to make the next step, meaning getting past the Semis at the slams. Of course there probably will be disappointments like for every top players, but the loss isn't going to be as hard on her or her fans knowing that she already won the Aussie. And I agree, see her make a breakthrough at Wimbledon. Mark my words. If it wasn't for her nerves getting the best of her each time, she would have made the finals already.
