Yeah we need gossip, I am sure Madonika will provide us with that ;)
May 5th, 2002, 10:10 PM
exactly ... im thinking along the lines of TENNIS MAG :)
May 5th, 2002, 10:11 PM
This is good.
Another thing could be like a
'Watch out for' bit where we do an article on some player we expect to be big soon!
May 5th, 2002, 10:23 PM
I think that's a neat idea :)
VSFan1 aka Joshua L.
May 5th, 2002, 10:34 PM
I will do a monthly column called
"Taliamanosoko Talks" :)
May 5th, 2002, 10:45 PM
Sounds great. Lots of fun. I remember back in the first season, we had talked briefly about something like this but nothing came of it.
How about stroke tips from pros?
May 5th, 2002, 10:46 PM
Yeah it is shaping up to be a great magazine hehe
May 5th, 2002, 10:58 PM
If you need any help...just need to ask me!!!
May 6th, 2002, 02:19 AM
Yeah, this sounds like a really great idea....
I would love to help (not sure how much i can), but if you do need help feel free to ask...
article on a player each month
i was thinking of writing an article myself (when i'm on holidays) that looks at the top players in history of fwtt and all their accomplishments; titles, records, doubles, rankings etc....and working out the top 10 players in the history of fwtt for combined singles and doubles and all that?!?!
someone is more than welcome to do that if they want to.
This truly is a great idea...i can't wait! :)
May 6th, 2002, 02:57 AM
Why this is a great idea ,which is long overdue considering FWTT has been such an such an infulential game running for more than 2 years.
I'd love to make interviews and articles.Especially interviews.
The TTT News should give you an idea about my capabilities in writing and especially interviewing ;)

Daniela Turundzhov would liketo have a column about the difficulties of a young girl making the transition from juniors to the pros.
Jelena Dokic would like to have a column about the tour and things like that.
May 6th, 2002, 01:15 PM
I'd love to contribute too, though I have no ideas right now.
How about a section on who's dating who etc..I suppose that's gossip.
May 6th, 2002, 03:10 PM
all these positive response is great!
as of the moment, the following have committed to being columnists
I'll PM everyone for confirmation :)
May 6th, 2002, 03:20 PM
I have an idea. I think we should have a section of on retired FWTT players. I've actually wanted to do this for awhile on the board but for this to be part of an FWTT magazine is much better.
I want the title to be "Where are they now..." or something else if someone can come up with. And to have stories, gossip or interviews on players of FWTT past on what they are doing now, and whether they miss the tour. Some names we could have include Neve Wunch, Alice Knight, the Salomonsson sisters, Tami Sugarn, Martina Lian etc...
Tell me what you think. I really want to make that column happen.
I see one problem already though how the hell do we track some of those posters down!
May 6th, 2002, 03:36 PM
please check your PM boxes everyone :)

You could do a "Blast to the past" where you review a certain tournament for instance:
At the french Open, look back at the first french open!
May 6th, 2002, 04:40 PM
I think it's a great idea, and I'd do what I can to help ;)
May 6th, 2002, 04:42 PM
Oh yeah, I'll help to! :D
May 6th, 2002, 05:30 PM
The best 3 matches of the month, articles about it...
May 6th, 2002, 05:57 PM
Also the player of the month and her achievements during her career
May 6th, 2002, 06:04 PM
and of course the rankings and schedules....
May 6th, 2002, 07:47 PM
:D great idea!
May 7th, 2002, 07:17 AM
all these ideas are great! i didnt know there were many tennis players - jornalists in here ... i will be making a email address for us, so that my PM box wont explode ;)
May 7th, 2002, 07:28 AM
we have an email!!!!
May 7th, 2002, 02:58 PM
I have a name for the column now. It will be called "Regla Remembers..." so obviously it will be written by Regla Torres and for the first edition I have decided to interview Caroline Whitten the winner of the first ever FWTT event and someone who's retired now. I thought this would be appropriate. But for the later editions I won't reveal whom I'll interview until they come out ;)
May 8th, 2002, 12:19 AM
that's great! please email them to me at firstname.lastname@example.org
