It wasn't the best year of all times for me. It can only get better next year.

Worst year I've ever experienced, in my memory anyway,. Just horrid on many levels, yet it did start quite well but went downhill. :(

Until 08:30 CST, Sept. 12, it was a nightmare.
Since then it has been a non-stop miracle.

What kind of event happened then? :D

As for me,2005 was a pretty good year even if 2004 was a way better.

I take it you mean meeting Kelly;) She opened our new building at uni in November. She is really great and insisted she had a photo taken with us before she left as they were trying to rush her. My avatar is one of my pics of her.

I want to say "I want to forget it" but I know will, anyways. So, I'll say it sucked... Actually, maybe I'll vote "so-so," because it is so forgetable. Last year sucked. This year was nothing - in every sense of the word.

I chose it was an important year in my life, but perhaps even more because there are so little positive options in the poll and so many negative choices in the poll...
But it was a great year...more or less...

I won't go into all the sordid details, but it was unequivocally and undeniably the worst, most horrendous year ever. From the first through the end of the year. I just hope all the evils of 2005 stay in that year and don't progress forward into this new one.

it was an important year in my life. tragic and amazing. my dear cousin (my pair, u know, there's always that one cousin that u're totally close to) died which devastated me to the core. then a day before my birthday, another cousin died and it sucked just as badly as i still hadn't recovered from the first death. but the amazing thing is that i've been able to use my anger and sadness and bitterness to fuel my education. i graduated in the top 15% of undergrads and i have all distinctions for my masters now and i've been able to truly appreciate my family and friends. in addition to that, i've been working for my own allowance (ok, so that was short-lived, but 8 montths is a long time!and to do it while maintaining a high average in uni is tough!)

In some ways it was brilliant - went to loads and loads of fab concerts, went to Wimby <saw Pam! ;)>, met Martha and Rufus Wainwright and stuff.

In other ways, when I wasn't doing fun stuff, it was all a bit....meh.

Here's to a good 2006! :D

It was a fantastic year for me and my family despite tremendous challenges worldwide ie, terrorism, war, natural disasters, civil instability etc.
My year was good because: I had a job, a small but nice place to live, good health, my spouse had a job and good health, and there were no personal tragedies in my family. I also got a lot of exercise and got my weight going to below 200 this year, losing 14 pounds! I also found a way to make and extra 3 euros a day during the workweek to help me pay for tennis, sneakers, fishing and other items I need or presents for friends or going out to lunch. So it was a good year. For all those who are younger and may have more challenges, are going through challenging family situations due to sexual identity, unhappiness, finanacial stress or other, I wish you the happiest of newyears and hope that you recognise that we all can work through it to have more comfortable and possibly rewarding lives. But its only after some testing that we are truly happy because we made a nice life for ourselves. Try to pratice good mental health and positive reinforcement REGARDLESS of whatever the situation might be and work through the difficulties. Stay in School!!! and best of luck for your studies this coming year and I hope you dont have many breakdowns!

My parents are getting a divorce, my dog was diagnosed with gluckoma (sp?), my marks in school were crap, I woke up with a zit this morning, my family is having money problems coming out of our ass - and I thought we were flowing in money.

The only highlights were V&S winning two Grand Slams.

Personally, 2005 was super. It might have been the best year of my life so far. But I voted it was important, cause it really was lol. I graduated form uni, which was pretty big, but even bigger was the fact that I passed an entrance exam which made my dream come a bit closer :D I had so much fun with all my friends, I went to Italy, always a highlight  ;), my favourite Belgian sportsman and woman became the best of the world in their sport this year :worship:, Andre Agassi is still playing tennis :bounce: I made some new friends, I got a prescription for ironsupplements, which made me come alive  and most of my friends and family are in good health, which is great considering 2004 was such a horrible year

For the world, 2005 was not that great :( And I can't see it turn around any time soon

An important one :)

I passed the mature exams (not bad at all ;) )
I got into uni  (which wasn't that easy :o )
Finally I have a dog (after my 2 dogs died in 2004 :sobbing: )

Although it still sucked in terms of emotional life :ras:
