Considering this is the first time in years that the Proximus Diamond Games are not held at the same time as the ABN/AMRO World Tennis Tournament in Rotterdam, I might pay this tournament a visit for the first time ever  Tickets are way too expensive though  But it would be fun to go to the qualifying event :D

Who of you is going?

:wavey:

I'm going 4 Kim's first match !!!
So on Feb. 15th

And if Kim's number one at that moment, everybody in the crowd will be given a bottle of champagne.
That's what Bob Verbeeck promised, at least ... lol

I thought about going as well. But I'll be travelling from Dublin, so flight + hotel + the expensive tickets = expensive weekend. Still considering though

Does anyone who has already been there know if you can watch practice sessions of the top players during qualifying?

Durin' the qualifications I dunno, but last year, I went on Tuesday and I saw Mary Pierce, Nadia Petrova and Nathalie Dechy practizin'.
So I guess it could happen...

During the tournament you can watch the players practice on center or court 1 if you enter early enough before the sessions start. But the official practice courts are 10km further so the change of seeing a top player practice during the quallies (starts at 11am I think) is small to non-existent.

OK Thank you :)

But I think the same goes for Hasselt, where I saw some players (Clijsters, Farina Elia et al) practise during qualies.

Come to think of it, it's actually about the same price.

But Rosmalen doesn't offer such a good field, though it is ATP + WTA.

Ok but for Romalen you get a DAYticket in here in Antwerp it's a SESSIONticket ;)

I love rosmalen ... much better than Antwerp imo :)

I love Rosmalen too, but the ticket prices are a joke. It's so expensive :speakles: They can only get the rich and spoilt non-tennis fans to come

 Yasmine. Poor you.

But I won't be buying your tickets ;) Can't really go on weekdays nor do I have the money for it. Moreover, I don't like it when only the higher ranked players are left, so the finald ays are not for me ;)

Hi! I'm planning on going, but whats irritates me is that the day is devided into two sessions. I soo much want to see at least one of the williams play. I'm planning on going and see tennis on tuesday and wednesday but dont know what session to choose.

Do you have to order tickets early, or can you wait to see the scheudle?

I also have some more questions:) Is the arena in the centre of antwerp? If I go I'll probably live att new int. youth hotel something... Whats the cheapest way if you will go from charlerois to antwerp? Thanks a lot if someone can answer sosme of the questions!! It would be so fun to go, but a bit expensive.

Normally there are still free tickets on the days you want to go, so you can wait for the schedule (don't shoot me if I'm wrong  ;) ). Only the evening session of wednesday can be sold out because they are giving away free champaign ;)

The arena isn't in the center of Antwerp but you can get there easily by public transport.
-Take premetro 3 in the direction of Merksem and get of at 'sport'
-Take tram 12 in the direction of Deurne. The tram stops right before the arena
-Take bus 19 or 23.

What time do you arrive in Charleroi, because I know a girl who landed after the last train. She was stuck there till the next morning! Cheapest way to get in Antwerp is by train.

What you should do is this: Buy a 'bulk' ticket at the counter of the airport ticket desk. It costs €10. For this price you can take the bus to the station (line A) and take the train to the station of your choice (so Antwerp ;) )

What I have heard is that there is a Court 1 (Centre) and Court 2, that they are quite far apart, that players practise elsewhere and that Court 2 is extremely cold
