USC Trojans http://msn.foxsports.com/fe/img/CFB/TeamLogo/Medium/62.gif vs. http://msn.foxsports.com/fe/img/CFB/TeamLogo/Medium/83.gif Texas Longhorns

Without the playoff system in college football this is the championship game.
Last year the Trojans trashed Oklahoma 55-19.

The Trojans are the two time defending champs and are led by the Heisman Trophy winner RB Reggie Bush and last year winner and this year's third placed QB Matt Leinert. They have won the last 34 games and are ranked 1st.

The Longhorns are led by this year's Heisman Trophy runner-up QB Vince Young. The Longhorns are ranked 2nd and have won 19 straight games.

Both have gone through the season undefeated at 12-0.

The game will be played on Wednesday, January 4th.

USC. I think they are a better team with more talent and depth. I think it will be closer than last years game but I think something like 24 - 14 for UCS.

I like both teams and I'll be rooting for SC since that's "home" these days...

...but I've got a bad feeling about this one :scared:

Texas ain't Notre Dame and SC just barely beat the Golden Domers in a shoot out.

If texas doesn't slow down Reggie Bush aka the President they won't win. If Texas wants to win they have to control the clock and keep the ball away from the USC offense. That's how Notre Dame almost beat them and Texas has a wayyy better run game to control the clock. This should be a great game, but I hope Texas doesn't get stomped like OU last year.

There have been a hell of a lot of upsets this season--
Nebraska beat Michigan, and many thought that was an upset(not this Husker, tho)
LSU just overhauled Miami
Missouri beat S. Carolina (and any time Spurrier loses is a good day)

So if Texas winning would be considered an upset (and I do not), get ready for it.

I have no doubt Texas will be very tough but hope USC can pull off the win. :D

Young had 200 rushing yards with 3 TDs including the game winning one...
He also added 267 passing yards.
Incredible stuff.

I'm a Cornhusker, and I root for the Big 12 team no matter who they play, outside the conference--even (gasp!) Oklahoma.
So I was sad for ISU but happy for Missouri, and wowed by the Longhorns.
After NU's season ending performances at Colorado and then at the Alamo Bowl, I think it will be NU vs. Texas in the Big 12 Championship next season.

i'm a SC alum and here's what i have to say:

Congrats to Vince Young for playing one hellava game.

A big FUCK YOU to the big ten officials for blowing that call and giving texas a touchdown that should have NEVER been counted. (you know if those were pac ten officials and they blew that call the texans would have been lynching bitches left and right.)

Reggie and Matt? Well, you guys had better days...

Lendale White :worship:

All and all, i'm still proud to be a trojan and GO SC!

Lendale White :worship: Vince did have a great game!

I don't know, I mean yes the booth should have reviewed the play (i heard that they were having technical problems or something at school today ) but i still think that it didn't matter, texas still would have gotten a touchdown during that possession anyway. But thats just my opinion, everyone is entitled to their own.

And Lendale White really had a great night too, he is a great rb!

I was so happy for them - Vince Young in unbelievable. He's going to be a star in the NFL I think. Michael Vick better watch out!!!Vince Young was great! It's hard to beat a QB who had near bout 500 yards (passing and rushing) by himself! He should be a good NFL QB, he's like a combo of Vick and Manning - quick like vick and good accuracy like manning, thats tough to beat:D :yeah:

I'm just throwing this out there, but is it actually possible that White is a better rb and will have a better NFL career that the oh so praised Bush...
