I love shopping also. I actually crave it. But my love for having some money in my bank account is deeper. So what I do is that I shop a lot, but buy only when i find some great deals. Of course, to find some great deals you have to shop a lot, so I'm always happy  Or I just go shop with my parents and make them pay everything, but that's another story :p

Yesterday I was walking down the street when suddenly I saw that there was a 50%-sale in one of the local beauty shops. I suddenly remembered that I need some new shower-gel and decided to go in. Now I wish I hadn't done it… So I left the shop as a happy possessor of two unnecessary body lotions (“when you buy one, you have get the second one for 50%-lower price) and cheap lipstick of very doubtful color… and no shower-gel of course. I already have bodylotion at home… But at that moment I though that I could use new ones later… we always need good body lotion. When I came home I understood that I wouldn’t use it later. In a month the use-by date of my lotions will be past'. They wouldn’t have sold good things for the lower price. This idea didn’t come to my mind in the shop. When I’m in shop I lose capacity to think properly… so it's definitly a desease.

Dallas, leave at home your wallet and all forms of so-called plastic money when you hit the shops... you can spend some time there, check out stuff that you like, try on a few clothes and... buy nothing.
Then you go home and take some time to think about what you've seen, you figure out what you really need/seriously like and make choices... then after maybe a few days you go out with the exact amount of money you need for your purchases, get those and rush back home ;)

Thats good advice. Fortunately I hate shopping (unless its with other people's money, haha) but whenever I do go to spend I try to go see whats available first and then go back and buy stuff.

That way you don't buy stuff at one store, and go to the next and find things cheaper for lower! and Hi Dallas & Andy! It's winter berak so I thought I'd take a brief hiatus from my hiatus :p

Hon, cut up your credit cards and carry only cash. That way it hits home a little more when you have to pay the actual cash than swiping a little piece of plastic.

Great therapy.

I have. I relate to the character SO well. how she justifies her purchases, is how I justify it myself. lol

Yeah, or you get to the shop and find out that they're not in stock anymore! :fiery:
