Well lets put the weird week that was Bol behind us (I mean seriously...some of those matches she played were beyond strange :o its a miracle she made it to the final :D )....regroup...and get ready for the German assault

We all know how well Iva plays in Germany...she has won 4 titles here after all ;) Tamarine Tanasugarn stands in her way in Round 1...certainly a winnable encounter as Tammy isnt the same player on the red dirt.

Iva may be a little fatigued after her marathon efforts this week but despite the Bol loss she is headed in the right direction...and that is up!

How well Iva does really depends on how tired she is (bloody Libuse)... I hope she'll be given a Tuesday start, so she'd get a day to regroup. If she's fresh enough, Tammy T will be no problem. I love her to bits, but she can't play on clay at all. Then it's Panova or Maleeva... Panova hasn't looked the same since she began on the red clay, and Maleeva's more of a fast-court player. And Iva's in better form than both (wow - Iva in better form than other people, a bit of a novelty this! But very welcome! :D ). Then it's Serena Williams (if Serena makes it past Schett/Schiavone)... I'm not convinced by Serena on clay, she has potential but not enough to win RG this year. Winnable.

Still, it's not an easy draw at all... no-one out of the top 30. Good luck Iva! :bounce: :bounce:

I just hope that girls (Iva, Jenny and Babsi) won't be partying too much ... :)

Iva withdrew. She called out the trainer in her match vs. Svensson because of heat exaustion.
