I can't remember what she's called, but she was doing quite well in one of the matches, then she lost a point or two, lost intetest in what she was doing and eventually lost the match. I have no idea who she was playing neither. I'm just wondering what her name is, and if she's playing again this year. So she must've been a wildcard, or maybe not.

:wavey: Wondering if that was Evie Dominikovich? Before she was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue she looked disinterested, distressed and moody quite a lot in her matches...just a guess though:wavey:

Olivia Lukaszewicz perhaps? Then again she got murdered by Justine, so probably not.

Before I read any other posts, no, it wasn't she. :)

If Sania hadn't beat her you wouldn't have replied, would you? ;) :) And no, not her either.

Her names on the tip of me tongue. I can even see her now, playing in the match.

Those results aren't great, are they. When I atched the first set I thought she looked a decent player. But at the start of the second set, she started playing like she'd a taxi waiting outside. I was shouting at the TV 'What are you playing at, wise up!'

i've seen her play live because our schools use to play each other and basically every year she would win (coz our top player was shit!)
but yeah the second set against nadia was the turning point she lost it

That description sounds scarily like the Lindsay/Serena final...

LOL. Sophie's first and last loss of the season was to the same person - Sunitha Rao - both on home turf! She's touted to be Australia's next female star player. If that's gonna happen, then she has to step up at some point in 2006 and do exceptionally well in WTA Tour events. Going by this year's results alone, she's not quite gonna make it. At the same age, Alicia Molik was already kicking ass on the ITF circuit and Jelena Dokic was cutting a swathe through the Wimbledon draw.
