She is a lovely woman....the Paraguayan tennis association gave me her address and I was talking to her on MSN! She says she plans to play challengers in the US next year and also plans to play in Australia in 2007! I also asked her why she is no longer called 'Neffa' De Los Rios, but i dont think she understood...she just said that Neffa is her husband, so at least she isn't divorced. I'm so happy she's not gonna retire!

Wow, that's so cool but sort of creepy that they would give you her address :o But that must be some really good news for Rossana fans!

great news :) -- so if she wants to reach the AO in 2007, she hopefully has plans to go all out in 2006

ok but de los Rios has hardly won a match in 18 months, retirement or not, she's not a WTA level player by any stretch of the imagination. If we are talking about Moms who play tennis Sybille Bammer is for sure the best one now...

thanks Mat!

Actually vogus, Rossana's recorded 2 QF and 3 SF and a Final in big challengers in the past 18 months, and she's barely even played. Rossana has been playing much longer than Bammer, and also Rossana came back despite taking 6 years off the tour, so i have a lot more respect for Rossana than her. Rossana will probably be much more confident now that she knows she has some fans supporting her.

I saw sybille play in Cincinnati this summer and I think of all the players there she was in the best physical shape, if she can juice up her game with more power she can make top 50 top 30. Just my opinion.

It’s always heartbreaking to hear about retirement news; I know I will be devastated when Jennifer decides to retire.
I hope it won't be soon enough.
