"I think she was playing good tennis and moving the ball around, playing deep and then short balls also," Williams said. "She is playing well. I think I returned very well today, I felt that as soon as I had the ball on my racket I could do whatever I wanted with it. I enjoy playing on clay, some people wrote that I wasn't a claycourt player, but I play on anything."

OMG! Is it possible that she read a thread I started on this very matter?! I was questioning whether she would finally be considered a top claycourter if she beat Kim tomorrow.

I knew it. I remember when I met her at the Pilot Pen in 2000 I told her about the fan site we visit during he matches and I swear, she had a look of recognition in her eyes. I am almost sure that she browse this board. Maybe she is a poster. MMM, DAWN MARIE perhaps?;)

LMAO!!:D uh.. no I am not Venus, but I do think she has read Sanex and this board. I remember her Reebok site, and she answered all of her fans questions who posted on Sanex at that time. For some reason I do think she reads the board.. I mean she has stated that she is online alot.. it is only natural to read a tennis board.
FEARLESS VENUS RULEZ!!:bounce:

OKAY, I ADMIT IT, I AM VENUS WILLIAMS.
You got me! I have a final to play and now in Germany is 6:30, and I just woke up to visit & read this board, say hi to all my peeps. Wuz up ya'll. I am #1, very exciting. This is very hard for me, coming out to the board, & everything. Also, I would like to thank all my fans for supporting me through thick and thin, hopefully I can do my best the following weeks & stay at #1, by the way, I have to say hi to Serena, my best friend, a.k.a Tee Rex, also my other sisters, Yetunda, also knows on here as Dawn Marie, Isha, also know as Williams_Rulez, Oracene also known as Volcana.
And hey daddy, GrandSlammed, how are you King Richard.
And to all the rest of you I forgot, hey :wavey:

I agree. I'll stand by my opinion. She can play on any surface. She ( unlike her sister) will be one of the best on any surface. She, however, will never be as dominant on clay as she is on fast surfaces. Not because of her game, her game allows that. Because of she, like any other player, won't be able to keep her focus for 3 or 4 tournaments in a row. On clay I doubt anyone can do that. Too much of a mental and physical effort. Screw any warmup, if she wins Roland Garros, even if she lose in the first round in Rome, it will be more than enough for any tennis fan for taking hats off to her. Clay is the toughest and the most unforgiving surface, the ultimate test of mental toughness.
