Here is a re-cap:

Rd. 1

Iva Majoli def. Ludmila Cervanova 4-6 6-4 6-2
Iva was in huge trouble from the beginning and quickly went down 4-6 2-4 before winning 10 of the next 12 games.

Rd. 2
Iva Majoli def. Jelena Kostanic 2-6 6-4 7-6(4)
Iva wan't expected to win this match despite her higher ranking. She made way too many unforced errors in the first set and it began to look like she was about to lose. Iva led 5-2 in the second set before winning it 6-4 and served for the match twice in the third set before winning it in the tiebreak.

Iva Majoli def. Vera Zvonareva 6-2 6-0
This was by far Iva's easiest and quickest match of the tournament. After loosing a one break advantage in the first set, Iva won nine straight games to advance to the semifinals.

Iva Majoli def. Libuse Prusova 6-7(5) 7-5 6-4
Iva started the match off strong with and early break. She served for the first set at 5-3 and was two points away from winning it at 5-4. Iva led 5-4 and was serving in the tiebreak, but Prusova was able to take advantage of Iva's unforced errors and win the set. Iva went down 3-0 in the second set before regrouping and leveling it to 3-3. Serving 4-5 15-40, and later 40-AD, down, Iva came up with big serves which were all dumped into the net by the Czech. Iva won the set 7-5. Iva broke in the third game of the second set. Prusova saved four match points when she served at 3-5, but Iva was able to serve out the match and advance to the finals!

Some of those scores :eek: I'm surprised that Iva beat Vera so easily, I think Vera and Jelena are easily the toughest players there. :fiery: at Libuse for making our Diva tired.
