Very interesting. She's playing three tournis in her time where she has nothing to defend. I would expect her to play more. One of the tournis is a slam but it really makes me wonder if her focus is to be number one for long.
This schedule leaves tons of room for Mary Pierce to sneak up on her. I like Mary's chances now. She could find herself number one by March.

For a wannabeknowitall you don't know much. Why would you except Kim to play more? This schedule is standard for Kim, it is the same as 2003 just Eastbourne instead of Rosmalen and Warsaw in place of Berlin.
She has 10 events plus HK exo by the middle of the season, how much more do you want her to play to convince you she is focused? If she played more you would criticise her for playing too much, which imo her schedule already has her doing.
