...the local baseball team wins a game 3-0, and you report the score as "three-love".

...you're watching a TV show, the show goes to a commercial break, and you reflexively refer to it as a "changeover".

You reflesh the scoring thread for 2345907349079238476236 times when there isn't a scoreboard provided on the official tournament site.

You chatise your parents for entering the living room when the TV is not on a "changeover"

Your local football team draws 0-0 and you refer to it as a double bagel

You refuse to eat anything which can't be sucked out of a small plastic packet

When the postman arrives you insist on blowing on your hand and adjusting your ponytail before receiving the mail

When your teacher/boss asks you a question you raise your hand halfway through and insist that he starts again because you weren't ready

You skip the most important exam of your life (English) to watch Nadia V. Maria at the US Open on TV. (And don't get a resit!)

You stay up 'til lke 4 in the morning just to follow Nadia on livescoring webpage.

You find it hard to sleep while laying in bed at night previewing Nadia's next match and try to imagine what she is up to right now.

...your friends have to tell you that just because it's hot as hell in Australia, you have no reason to be running around in tennis shorts in Chicago in January.

Well, THAT honour goes to Kim Clijsters

"You know, I know that in a lot of Grand Slams I think, you know, women's tennis, you know, I mean if you watch -- you know, I'm in the committee of the WTA and, you know, we get a lot of the results back from the Grand Slams and stuff. And, you know, women's tennis, at the moment, I think is a little bit more popular I think, if you compare them to, you know, whatever, TV ratings and stuff like that."

...you're trying to describe someone, perhaps an actress or singer, to a friend who has never seen them, and you describe them by comparing them to a tennis player (or a composite of a couple of players).

(on another towel-related note)
...you need someone to hand you a towel, so you look at them and make a quick "wiping" gesture in front of your face.

...you want someone to pass you the salt (or anything else) at the dinner table, so you look at them and give a quick nod.

...the phone rings, and someone else is sitting closer to it than you are, so you say "yours".

When any game you play, you try and make it a tennis game. Heck, I even play tennis while on airplanes, with a stack of playing cards.

You're addicted to tennis...

...when you have your fav's pictures on you desktop, room, cellphone, school binders, display pics on any online chatting program, and in your wallet.

...when you replace your teddy bears for your tennis racquets.

...when you start saying c'mon or allez or whatever your fav says when something cool happens to you.

...when you think that your fore arm is bigger than the other

...when you start using your "tennis skills" to play other sports. (I play baseball like I play tennis!)

...when you bid over a 1000 dollars for something signed by the pros. (I didn't do this)

...when you are willing to fly over 18 hours over christmas vacation just to play tennis some place else.

- When you cry three times when looking at your fave's speech at an award show.
- When you actually ask santa for some tennis results for your faves (top 100 for Steph in my case)
- When you start talking to your friends about stories happening on this board

You call someone who isn't remotely interested in tennis that Maria Sharapova's name was mentioned on an episode of "According To Jim". :o

...when you ask permission from the person in the tallest chair before going to the bathroom

...when you are sitting at a cafe in summer and you tell the waiter to hold the parasol just behind you to keep you in the shade
