I think Anna K is a pretty girl & we mistake that for beautiful outfits. Serena is too flashy & Maria is on her way down the same wayward path.

I love the classiness of Venus & Evert & how they always exume femininity. :-)

Venus' 2003 Wimbledon dress is a classic example...She looked like she was going to an after 5 party - very nice skirt.

venus mostly wears awesome dresses, which are unique, but i also like the traditional dresses that most of the players wear...i liked most of maria sharapova´s clothes and also kim´s and lenaD`s and amélie`s.

Venus with the edge because she also changed her hairstyles and won in her clothes. Nothing like holding up a trophy with a hot outfit on. It makes the outfit look better on you. For real and no joke on Anna at all. Which is also giving Anna a huge compliment in a backhanded sort of way.

Venus always had a class edge over everyone of the group. I thik Mary used to be a great dresser, but recently it really got down, her outfits are way too large and not for fitting.

Daniela started off as a future classy dresser, but she got caught in the nike *everyone wears the same* outfits...

I'd have to say Mary, Daniela, Anna and Venus.

Venus is edgey, but still conservative compared to Serena. I love her dress patterns, and she is always trying to be creative.

Mary used to have the most stunning outfits, although she's toned down a bit lately. I loved her nike rainbow, short-sleeve t-shirt (she wore it at the Aus Open one year). I don't think her clothes are branded?

Dani is one that looks good in anything, but lately, she has been wearing the standard outfits on tour. Only a few players can get away with wearing the "common" attire, Daniela is definitely one of them. Her visors are nice too.

Anna had some really nice outfits. I liked her blue shorts and top. She also had a nice lime coloured suite, which looked beautiful. She somehow managed to look stylish even at Wimbledon.

I don't know about Venus and Serena... They just try too hard and overdo everything. Flashy and kitsch most of the times.

For me, how a girl moves in what she's wearing has a great deal to do with how great the visual effect becomes. Anna can wear some pretty awful frocks and still pull it off because she moves well and looks good moving in them, and photographs well. The all-time greatest with looking absolutely stunning in motion no matter what she was wearing was the great Evonne Goolagong:

Mary back in the days was so into the fashion. Remember her 2000 French Open dress? I must say that it was fitting that she won in that dress, because that dress looks like a dress you would wear to the academy awards(look at Julia Roberts dress when she won for Erin Brockovich). Those two dresses look so much alike, except Mary's is of course made for tennis.

C'mon, I can't be the only person here who remembers some of those fantastic creations that Teddy came up with for the girls on the Virginia Slims tour back in the 70s. In the Tenniseum at Roland Garros, there is on display a dress he created for Rosie Casals that is all tiny shimmering sequins that is spectacular, to say the least. Some of his more "tame" creations weren't too bad either:
