I was surprised by looking at Haidy El Tabakh's results that she has a CAN behind her name and no longer an EGY!

Why did she change her nationality from Egyptian to Canadian?

Well she looks Egyptian to me. ;)

It's sad to see her changing her nationality because Africa has only a few good players; Dally Randriantefy, Selima Sfar or Nathalie Grandin.

Well Do Canadians have good players....maybe Haidy moved to Canada and relocated alot of people do that....especially when they want to pursue a career that is not very popular in their country....Why do all the russians train in Spain and Florida.....why is almost every good player lives or has a house in Florida, because tennis is popular, good trainers, good weather to practise...etc etc etc....

I've never seen her play Lets see if being a canadian can help her a little....or maybe she should train in the states if she can afford it.....or france or spain....one of the countries that are able to produce tennis stars....

Heydi is nowhere close to Mirza. She has a pretty solid game, but don't expect a lot from her in the future. She is a former top 20 juinior player though. Recently, she had few injuuries, especially a tough back one, that prevented her from playing a lot of tourneys.

She moved to Toronto recently to study, and that was the basis of her change of nationality. When she came here she realised that it was easier for her to represent Canada and that it would help her career, though recently it didn't lead to much. She did get a qualy WC in Toronto, where she was leading 6-4 4-0 against Cohen-Aloro, before losing 4-6 6-4 6-0. She became canadian really fast didn't she? :p

in canada the life is very good
If she has a bad career of tennis her old days are safe :)

You are in luck, I came in for a well earned lunchbreak did some research, found the reason, and here it is-

Haidy was pround to be Egyptian
and as happy a Girl as could be
until She became addicted
to the syrup of the great Maple tree
She would pour it all over Her flapjacks
and on top of Her well toasted bread
at that stage is wasn't addiction
more like Her very favourite spread

It all changed for Her one fateful day
while eating breakfast
She was eating syruped flapjacks piled on a tray
all of a sudden She developed a terrible itch
that quickly brought Our beauty to a fever pitch
now the itch was located in a private area
as desirable as Her face
but a whole lot hairier
She quickly thrust Her hand under Her clothes
to ease this embarrassing torment
that Her fingers were covered in syrup
soon became evident
The itch it stopped in an instant
and the syrup it spread up inside
bringing a feeling of pleasure
Our Heroine just could not hide
that wonderful smile You see in the photos
is there for that very same reason
just a teaspoon of syrup in the right place
and You can walk around all day in high season

So close to the source of this wonder
this young lustful Lass She must stay
I mean in Egypt She can gaze at the Pyramids
or go for a swim in the Nile
were She is likely to get Her cute ass bitten
by a great hungry green Crocodile
But nothing back home can give Her that feeling
a feeling that's almost past belief
from the sap of the the tree whos leaf gave the symbol
on the flag, of the great Maple leaf
