Top 200 Stats
In red, girls who are under 20

Relatively poor week for the WTA ranking...with only 5 players who reached their highest rankings....quite logical considering the off season on the tour excepted for challengers

CASTANO Catalina -Colombia -26 y.o -former best ranking:58 -NEW:57
DOMINGUEZ LINO Lourdes -Spain -24 y.o -former best ranking:75 -NEW:74
MATTEK Bethanie -USA -20 y.o -former best ranking:125 -NEW:123
FUDA Ryoko -Japan -19 y.o -former best ranking:175 -NEW:164
DELLACQUA Casey -Australia -20 y.o -former best ranking:198 -NEW:196
BARROIS Christina -Germany -24 y.o -former best ranking:201 -NEW:200

My comments

Ryoko FUDA: Career high this week for Ryoko who captured her 3rd 25K$ challenger of the year in Mount Gambier -Australia-. She ousted 1st seed/n°131 and former Top 20 player Tamarine Tanasugarn and 2nd seed/n°173 Anastasia Rodionova.
Ryoko is up from more than 150 spots this year with a 44-25 Win-Loss record.

FASTER MOVEMENTS IN THE TOP 10, 20, 50, 100, 150, 200:

Top 10, 20: No change -wta tour off season-

Top 50:
Anna Cakvetadze n°32 (+1), Anabel Medina Garrigues n°33 (+1), Klara Koukalova n°35 (+1), Shuai Peng n°36 (+1), Shinobu Asagoe n°37 (+1). All these girls are up from 1 spot due to Sania Mirza and Sesil Karatancheva 1 place declines. The other common points with these girls is that they've all played really good tennis this year and that they reached their carreer highest ranking in 2005!

Top 100:
Catalina Castano n°57, Lisa Raymond n°73, Lourdes Dominguez Lino n°74, Sybille Bammer n°77, Stephanie Foretz n°93, Jelena Kostanic n°100: all of them are up 1 spot in the wold ranking...and 3 of the 6 reach their highest ranking (Catalina and Lourdes or equal it (Sybille).

Top 150:
Bethanie MATTEK n°123 (+29): Big jump for Bethanie this week with a career highest ranking too thanks to a victory in Palm Beach Gardens 50K$ challenger where she upsetted 1rst seed/n°93 Melinda Czink for the crown. That's the 1rst title of the year for Bethanie who's year highlight includes a Semi final in Cincinnati Tier III 170K$ in july (victories over Marion Bartoli, and Jelena Jankovic).

Top 200:
Ryoko FUDA n°165 (+21): see above.

you're right "boiled egg"...this week will be poor (only one 25K$ challengers and the points won't be added next monday but the week after due to ranking rules)...but after that 25K$ points and Dubai and Bergamo...so still ranking movements in perspective! :bounce:
