My comments:

Viktoriya KUTUSOVA:
That's her 10th victory and 2nd tournement in a row! After St Raphael, Viktoriya won Poitiers 75K$ challenger upsetting 4th seed/n76 Alona Bondarenko and 8th seed/n90 Maret Ani. She's up 21 places this week and break the Top 80 for the 1rst time.

Maret ANI:
Maret keeps improving on the WTA ranking. She's up 8 spots this week after a runner up status in Poitiers 75K$ challenger. She recorded her 2nd top 50 victory of the year (after n44 Marion Bartoli) over Lucie Safarova (n50). She fall to teenage Viktoriya Kutusova to take the title.

Elena VESNINA:
Will Elena finish the year in the Top 100?!! thats' the question...nearly every week, she's rising in the Ranking....she'snow n102!! Last week, Elena reached the semi final in Poitiers 75K$ challenger ousting 1rst seed/n40 Marion Bartoli and 7th seed/n94 Stephanie Foretz before loosing to eventuial champion Viktoriya Kutusova.

Galina VOSKOBOEVA:
Galina reached the QF in Poitiers 75K$ challenger falling to 2nd seed/n50 Lucie Safarova. She's up 6 spots in the world ranking.

Romina OPRANDI:
Romina was around the 500 place in the world ranking at the end of last year...and she breaks the Top 200 this week! Last week, she played on fire wining Puebla 25K$ challenger ousting 2nd seed/n184 Federica Piedade. That's her 7th 25K$ title of the year and the 2nd in a row with a 53-14 Win-Loss Record. Romina is on the "2005 success wave" of all the italian players (Flavia Penetta, Roberta Vinci, Antonella Serra Zanetti)

Casey DELLACQUA:
Casey makes her Top 200 debut this week thanks a semi fianl in Nuriootpa 25K$ challenger ousting 2nd seed/n131 and former top 20 Tamarine Tanasugarn before loosing to eventual champion n173 Anastasia Rodionova.

FASTER MOOVERS IN THE TOP 10, 20, 50, 100, 200:

Top 10, 20: No changes due to the season's end.

Top 50:
Lucie SAFAROVA n47 (+3): Lucie could have stopped her season like most of the Top 50 players after Philadelphia but she decided to play challengers...that's what she did in Poitiers 75K$ where she reached the SF falling to rising estonian Maret Ani (8th seed/n90). Lucie won a tournement this year in Estoril and recorded a 43 win-17 loss stat and many Top 40 victories (over Duchevina, Dulko, Li....)

Top 100:
Viktoriya KUTUSOVA n76 (+19): see above

Top 150:
Elena Vesnina n102 (+10): see above

Top 200:
Romina Oprandi n188 (+23): see above

Thanks as always, fredbdx! I slacked off on following the Challengers last week, so it's great to see the outcome of Poitiers here. Vika is on a tear! :aparty:

I saw your comments about Voskoboeva written in red, but for some reason I didn't see above that you described her ranking in normal font between those reds.

Does anybody have a list of South Americans who reached their highest ranking this year? I keep hoping some of them will break through. So many great Argentinian men out there, why so little success on the women's side?

At least it looks like Paolita will be back. :hearts:
