I didn't know this but looking at the credits of the 2004 film Wimbledon, they actually used players from the ITF Circuit.

Beti Sekulovski played Lizzie's (Kirsten Dunst) first round opponent; Sekulovski is currently ranked #345. Rebecca Dandeniya also played an opponent in the film; Dandeniya is currently ranked #782.

I never realised that they used current and ITF players as extras on the film and not clever stunt doubles.

It would have been tons better if current WTA stars were used instead. They mentioned ATP players but we never saw them!

Alicia Molik was in the film for a split-second. You can see her playing from one of the overview scenes of the All-England Club.

Isn't "ITF stars" an oxymoron?
