I'm not sure if she will, but i think if shes gonna win any it may be the oz open...she loves to play there, and she'll be all banged out from xmas, and feeling ready to go!

If shes gonna win a GS she probably gonna do it sooner rather than later. The more time passes the lesser her chance is!

Heres hoping for a great 2006!

I have a feeling she'll win Wimbledon and maybe one other one.
I would really like to see her win OZ and then anything after that would be icing on the 2006 cake. :lick:

Well, we don't know what to expect from Lindsay, I couldn't believe she beat Kim but she did it, on red clay, and she did it once more almost 1 month later, but couldn't do it for almost 3 years!!!! So I just hope she will play her best at the best moment, because I think that it is the problem. She plays her best in the whole tournament, and play like crap in the key moments... But as usual, some people may not agree... ;)

Lindsay tends to play her way into a year so I don't imagine it'll come in Australia... particularly on a relatively slow court; in 2000 the courts were the fastest they've ever been.

It's Wimbledon or nothing. Kim will lead the hardcourt play, Justine clay and Lindsday needs to dominate on grass.

Kim's hardcourt play was inflated alot this year. I really don't think she'll "own" them next year. Who would be her biggest competition on it? Lindsay. And she was out for most of it with a broken back. Lindsay would have been 3-0 against Kim this year, had it not been for the Indian Wells meltdown.

On slow hardcourts, Kim probably has the edge - i.e. Australia, Indian Wells. But on the faster hardcourts, Lindsay has the advantage.

I still don't think Mauresmo wins a slam next year.

Mauresmo won't be winning a slam anytime soon.

To answer the thread...

In a nutshell, no.

Please prove me wrong.

I think someday she will, and it will probably end up being Wimbledon. But I don't see it happening for a few years.

I'm being an optimist and saying yes to the US Open but I have serious doubts about it and it really depends on how she is physically/mentally this year and also how Kim/Maria/Justine are this year or whether the Williams will be strong again... Could be a v interesting year though!

I would like to say she will win Oz this year and possibly Wimbledon but I think the one she will get is the US Open:)

I think her best shot is at Wimb. She loves playing on grass and her game is so well suited for it. The OZ is a close second tho. I just want her to win a last one sooooo badly. The end is near and I'd love to see her go out on top. Let's just hope she has a good first half of the year so she plays beyond March.

She could win Winbe all right if she gets an easy draw if she isin't no.1. I hope that she will be able to win one what ever grand slam it is. At the moment she looks to be on top form so hopefully....
