Mauremo et Pierce réunies

Amélie Mauresmo et Mary Pierce se retrouvent toutes les deux dans le groupe noir du Masters, qui débutera mardi à Los Angeles. Elles seront accompagnées par la Belge Kim Clijsters et la Russe Elena Dementieva, qui vient juste de perdre en finale à Philadelphie face à Mauresmo. Le groupe vert sera composé de la n°1 mondiale, l'Américaine Lindsay Davenport, de la tenante du titre, la Russe Maria Sharapova, de sa compatriote Nadia Petrova et de la Suissesse Patty Schnyder. Nathalie Dechy est la remplaçante de ce tournoi.

I think she should win over Mary and Elena and should try to win Kim if not at least get a set off her....we dont want to face Lindsay in the semis....the type of court suits her well I think....

Her hair is a bit funny in that photo, she looks a bit pale though, I much prefer her with that tan, she is so sexy when bronzed. :cool:

I am so happy, i have been feeling tense all evening and when she lost her serve in the second set , thought here we go again, but as the commentator pointed out tshe has nothing to lose all the pressure was with Kim after losing her match against Pierce and aiming for the world no 1 spot.

We all know she can beat Dementieva -Roll on the semi-s :worship:

This picture shows it: Amélie and Kim are definitely the two nicest player at YEC! :worship:

I enjoyed the match; great play from both with spectacular rallies, funny Belgian fans who know how to support their players :D and Amélie was leading during the whole match! :D

With a victory tomorrow over Elena she could make the semis :yeah: and Mary is beatable for her too! With a 3:0 she would avoid Lindsay in the semis and meet Maria which is beatable for Amélie! :angel:

An all-French final would be an absolute dream, but we're still a bit far from it I'm afraid (esp from momo's part)

But I was thinking that since probably grass and fast indoor courts are her fav surfaces, her biggest chances of netting a big tournament win lie right at the YEC together with Wimby.

YEC and Wimby are the only big tournaments she's always reached the semis at in her past three participations.

Exactly bloody terrific....Maria is a genius she didn't care today all she wanted to do is to make it a quick match without wasting too much energy.....The turn out proved perfect for Amelie I think....even if she looses she has a better chance against Maria than she does against Lindsay .... not because Lindsay is a better player than Maria but because Amelie has a mental blockage from Lindsay and Serena.....

OMG!! I'm in shock right now!! :eek: Unbelievable, what a match!! Forget 'All Williams finals' 'All Belgian finals' or 'All Russian finals', 'All French finals' are most definitely the best!! :p ;) Wow, what a fabulous match!! :bowdown: I'm so over the moon for Amélie, she so deserved this, some of the shots she played tonight!! :eek: Great that she played so well in a big final, so people (who maybe weren't fans before! :p :devil: ;) ) could see what a wonderfully talented tennis player and athlete Amélie is!!

Mary was so sweet as always, putting her arm around Amélie like a big sister at the pre-match photos, hugging her afterwards, and her lovely speech; even though she lost, it was clear she was very happy for Amélie! Mary has had a great tournament and a fantastic year, but as an Amélie fan I'm so glad Amélie didn't have to end her year in Mary's shadow! :hug: to all the Mary fans!! Mary's had a fantastic 2005, and if Amélie had had to lose to anyone tonight, I would have been happy if it had been Mary! She's a sweetheart!

Funny how everyone will probably stop speculating/giving advice on coaching change now.
I didn't think she'd change before, and I don't think she'll change now; but I don't blame those who did, as this MomoLoic-al progress in terms of results is so slow indeed!
Anyway, I don't complain and I agree with momofellow French Moliere when he wrote "The trees that are slow to grow bear the best fruit" :p
