:haha: What, she's only gonna sevre 15 dfs a match instead of 20? :p

And yes, Richard has been working with her...at least he was working with her at Rosmalen (saw it with my own eyes). Although I wish he wouldn't... ;) (err because then Misa and Lena seem to play doubles together too much ;) ).

DutchieGirl

If she's in the top 32 (or so...some people above her might still pull out) then she would. AO pretty much just follows the rankings for the seedings.

i just put my faith into some players that aren't way top players (petrova, safina, srebotnik, smashnova, douchevina until lately) and whenever they have odds for them of 0.6 and up i bet. it worked so far rather nicely.
oh, and i'm a frequent fan of the H2H system.

10 weeks from AO is really 4 weeks away AO cutoff which is really a week before because evryone is doing the math. so we have only 3 more weeks before we have some practical work in our hands!

guesses - how low will the cutoff be?
i'll go for 255

when complete favorites are .3 i bet for them. when it's a tight match - that's where i'm probably the best in comparsion to the rest of the Vcash field - i'm quite good at the .8/1.2 bets.

I got luck with Fedossova and Nagyova this week, they had odds of 2.75 and with Sucha who hads odds of 1.25. Too bad I didn`t put a lot of money on those, but a) I put a lot on Dechy to win in the first round in Quebec and that match was played only on Wednesday and b) I had a hunch, but I didn`t want to risk too much.

6000 on marion :scared:
she has a 2-0 leading record on indoor hardcourts, both in straight sets
and even though sofia won 40 mjatches this year - only 6 were top100 players as opposed to my marion who beat 16 top100 players.
then again she hasn't strung consecutive wins against top100 players since...eastbourne  and she was on a 3 match losing streak prior this week.
i'm so hopeful she's hungry for the title cuz it was a wild bet.
if i win it though i get 4500 which will get me back the money from my two 2grand bets on vaidisova and petrova.
it's going to be a very cool weekend if i get all 3 correct.

These championships are going to have crappy odds till the final - that's were I plan on a season ending bet of 10 grand :)
and biathlon is great!
not only is it exciting and unique in it's format (not only phisical activity and strenght, nor just skill - but a tough combination between the two making it one of the toughest mental-individual events) and there are so many exciting players oozing charisma.
and another great plus is that it filld the void of tennis almost perfectly (i mean in terms of the time).
as i said - when the YEC + masters end it will be exactly the time to start watching for the new names in the competeitor lists -
the germans, russians and norwigians dominate the sport in terms of depth - they always have young hopefuls who work so hard!
anyway - it's my two favorite sports.

yeah, it's usually around 240-250... hmm draws off wtatour site don't have the rankings for AO draws ( they do for all other draws though).

Steph didn't last too long though! 1st r loss in 2 sets on court 13! :ras:

i don't care for steph - just checked the AO archive and found out she got in thanks to some canuck fans that were so happy about it.
i checked the wtatour as well :p
usually the cutoff in australia is a bit lower than usual - so many players prefer not to go downunder from the lower ranked - and alot of injuries are sustained in aussie grounds due to the heat (heat illness is terrible).
240-250 is close, but now i'm a bit panicked - savransky is 228 :scared:

:haha: Well I could have told you that Steph got in - she played Misa 1st r quallies and lost like 4 and 3 or something! :p And yeah, the cutoff usually is lower, and normally around 240-250. So 228 should be ok as long as she stays there and doesn't drop in the next couple of weeks!;)

Looks like Marina Erakovic will at least be in the quallies (currently ranked 212), i'll have to cheer her on!
Any chance of her gettin a wild card?

Into MD? Doubt it. They usually give one to an Asian, but seem to forget about NZ! ;) I'll have to try to go watch her in quallies. :D

Good on ya! she very nearly quallified for the US Open, whilst carrying an injury. I arrive on day 2 of quallies, so i'll be able to see 2 both her qualifying matches, then hopefully she gets a first round main draw match against Maria!

lmao - so you're being hopeful that she qualifies? ;) Hard court seems to be best for her, so she should do well in Oz. :D

Ofcourse i'm hopeful that she'll qualify! I need someone to cheer for - apart from Maria ofcourse. She did well at the ASB classic this year aswell, which is the same surface, may it continue!

but see that could be a problem. If she gets really far in oh no wait, Auckland's the same week as HC and GC right...so it's ok! :D

Auckland is only Jan 2-7, so in the unlikely event of her reaching the final, she'll still be at the quallies  .
If my memory serves me correctly, didn't she double bagel Sophie Ferguson in fed cup this year? I would gloat, but i like Ferguson aswell!

yeah...Auckland's the first week of the season. I was thinking it was second week, but it's Sydney, Hobart and Canberra that week. ;)

 Wouldn't have a clue about Aussie Fed Cup, coz I honestly couldn't give a stuff. I cheer for the Dutch team in Fed Cup! :o

Yea, i cant say i pay too much attention to fed cup either - although that could change next year with an addition to the russian team ;) .

:haha: I just don't really like many of the Aussie players, and Alicia didn't play Fed Cup this year so... no reason for me to follow the Aussies! ;)

The same applies for me and all aussie sport teams (with the exception of the Waratahs and Wallabies ofcourse!)
