well - AO usually has a slightly lower cutoff, so i say all the german girls till 250 should get in.
so muller stil has a chance for MD,
klashka, henke, woerle, gehrlien, bachmann, barna (non pregnant one :P congrats adriana!), kerber and barrois should all get into QD.
Malek is probably too far down.
the rest just have to maintain this kind of ranking - even if it means going to play 25Ks out of europe.

I hope Kristina will play

German girls should train more; they have no good condition.

They have hard shots, but poor movement - no elaborate side steps (cross steping), running slow to the net etc...

I don't think you can say that in general...

I don't think you can say that in general...

Yes I agree.

Nevertheless it would be an idea to imitate the training of Klinsmann and the German kickers and engage for a seminar a hardcore American trainer. He would use unconvetional methods, like bondage, tapes, ribbons, bands etc.

Maybe that would help; I mean de Mora did that with Anna-Lena and now she is a top player...

Will Kristina Barrois play?

Saw Oldboy today.

I think I've seen enough extreme stuff for the next decade or so.

Müller won the national title
so we will see how she will do down under
may she can qualify if she not get direct in
it would be important to have 1 or even 2 or 3 more players in Maindraw

i guess she already is in the maindraw. there are still retired players like ZULUAGA and MALEEVA in the list before her...

dosen´t look good for our girls so far

Grönefeld - lost all3 matches at Hopmancup
Schruff - 2 wins at Auckland - good so far
Klösel - lost first round quali at Sydney
Müller - lost twice at first round qualifiyng

hopefully they will do better at the open
and maybe Barrois or any other german girl can do well in Qualifiyng

okay - you´re right

btw. this D´Amelio victory isn´t such a great deal

I'm surprised that Müller still can't get it together. She shouldn't lose to Keothavong. No top 100 for her playing this way.

Winning the first round quali match is now worth as much as winning the first round in a tier III maindraw.

Huge matches for Kristina and all the others. :scared:

matthias
Jan 11th, 2006, 05:56 PM
Anne Kremer (LUX) vs Kathrin Woerle (GER)
Jessica Kirkland (USA) vs Angelika Bachmann (GER)
Vanessa Henke (GER) vs Ryoko Fuda (JPN)
6- Meilen Tu (USA) vs Stephanie Gehrlein (GER)
Aleksandra Wozniak (CAN) vs 24- Sabine Klaschka (GER)
Kristina Barrois (GER) vs Eva Hrdinova (CZE)

i think not more then 3 girls will reach the second round - but i hope i´m wrong

GoDominique
Jan 12th, 2006, 07:56 AM
Stephanie and Kathrin won. :)

Apart from that: disaster. :o

Angelika :o bad loss
Vanessa :banghead: should have won in two sets, had MP and numerous other chances. What a wasted chance.
Sabine  no comment. It's back to satellites for her when Wimbledon drops off.
And Kristina :o  going down tamely against a mediocre player, rather depressing.

Nope... it doesn't look good for Anna-Lena. She has been terrible since her comeback, mind you, half her bloody legs are taped up, but a good first round draw will hopefully result in a win and a much-needed confidence boost.

Anna-Lena Grönefeld vs. Laura PousTio
Julia Schruff vs. Elena Dementieva

well the tournament started so great for the german girls! But none of them advanced to the third round. :(
Only Anna- Lena reached in Mixed the Quarterfinal and in Doubles the Semifinal. But no match from her were showed in Eurosport. I don't understand it.
