Alicia is playing filderstadt
and her first round opponent is Dechy
good luck alicia! start winning again!

her second round is Dementieva
QTR Clijsters
Semi Mauresmo
final: Henin-Hardenne or Davenport

i doubt that if alicia beats dechy, that she will beat dementieva
but if somehow she has found her form i wouldn't expect her to beat clijsters given that clijsters is about to win the title in Luxembourg. Go alicia!

my prediction for this tournament is another all belgian final
going either way depending if Henin-Hardenne is back properly and that her second serve is landing in the court!

anyway GO ALICIA!

this is such a tough draw, maybe one of the toughest this year and not just for alicia. i'm so excited. i hope some players will suprise us and i hope alicia is one of them.
GO and beat them all alicia!

yeah,a nice new partnership! i love them both dearly!would be nice,if they were to show more doubles matches on TV.i found it quite attractive at the UO!
and about nati-baby:hm,not easy to say.she is pretty consistent.IMO.the best way for ali-baby to get back to her targets are some good and decisive wins,no matter how far she gets in the end at the tourneys, but just as a proof for her, that she still can DO IT!!so i see it...
  ali-baby!!

hi Ntour!as i am in the lucky position to be able to watch filderstadt this week,i may give you a short analysis about her match vs natalie,if you want:
there are not much words needed to describe the match.first of all,its only fair to say, that nati was clearly the better player, and therefore deserved to win.alicia had quite a bad start into the match, but was able to recover slightly in middle/end of the 1 set,but sadly not enough to really endanger natalie.the second set was a bit more levelled, and alicia was able to make a few good points.but in the end, natalie was far more focused and very fit too,so,as i said, truly deserved the win.
now we have 2 possibilities IMO:

either, she plays one tourney after the other until the fall, and hopefully gets more match-practice and confidence through that,

or she finishes the season right now,and concentrates completely for the australian open...
but, which one the better alternative is,i really cant say...
what do you think?

thanks for the summary
i figured that nathalie must have been the better player
hopefully she comes back soon!

as for her options i think she should probably play the season out and perhaps some of the smaller tournaments and work her way up. maybe instead of playing moscow (I) she should play bangkok(III), instead of zurich (I) perhaps linz (II) and instead of philadelphia (II) she could play quebec (III).
but it all depends on how she goes next week.

good luck alicia and return to form soon!

hi,my aussie friend!
yes,she was the better player, definitely!and i find her very nice too.shes very modest and down to earth(in fact, just like our alicia!).

about the tournaments, thats a good view, yeah.i just have the feeling, she just needs "real" wins, that show her,she still has it!!and, because the girls ranked above her are just too strong for her,she should better go for the smaller tourneys, where her confidence and strength can grow much better!
and we still have justine in filderstadt,so there is still a lot of hope left for us!
and BTW:what i find very amazing,is that we have much the same favourites on the tour!that makes me very happy!
so,see you soon
