Sabine Lisicki def. Adriana Barna 7-6(5) 3-6 6-3

Sabine plays good tennis and is a nice person :) Had a little bit luck in the first set TB as she was 3-5 down in it but managed to come back and win 7-5 :) Barna was b*tching all the time as always and making some faces... her father was watching too

Kathrin Woerle def. Silvija Talaja 6-2 6-2

Talaja didn't fight much but Woerle was playing better too. Was closer than the score supposes

Karolina Sprem def. Claudine Schaul 4-6 6-3 6-1

Was very much suprised when I saw Claudine winning the first set but after that Karolina was making less errors and didn't have many difficulties in the next two sets. Claudine was quite sad at the end

Angelique Kerber def. Selima Sfar 6-3 7-6(13)

I saw only the end which was nice quality. Selima saved like six matchballs but missed a few setballs too

Angelika Bachmann def. Vanessa Henke 6-3 6-3

Saw only the first set and Angelika was playing really better

Bethanie Mattek def. Alexandra Stevenson 6-1 2-1 ret.

For me it was clear that Stevenson will retire at some time during the match. Her backhand was pretty good but forehand was usually two meters in out. She almost hit one of the linesmen when trying to finish a ball at the net. Bethanie had interesting outfit, and was veery nice to me when I asked for her autograph after the match

Stephanie Gehrlein def. Sesil Karatantcheva 6-2 7-6(2)

Saw only the last two games of this because Pironkova was playing at the same time. Sesil didn't fight and was making error after error. Pretty disappointing...

Sabine Klaschka def. Eva Birnerova 6-1 6-1

wow Sabine was very solid in this match. Really a class above Eva who is not a bad player. I think Eva had some injury tho

Jelena Kostanic def. Dominice Ripoll 6-3 6-4

I couldn't believe that girl received a WC but she didn't play bad, was fighting, although it was clear for everybody that Jelena will win. She didn't impress me much tho and I hope Tzveti will beat her tomorrow :p

Tzvetana Pironkova def. Eva Hrdinova 7-6(1) 3-6 6-2

That was the match of the day for me and it really was a very interesting one. Tzveti started better despite having some problems with Hrdinova's serve. Pironkova was 5-2 but then allowed her opponent to play some very powerful tennis. In the TB Tzveti was flawless tho and won it 7-1. In the second set at 3-4 two of Hrdinova's balls were OBVIOUSLY in out but :tape: That made Tzveti mad and she just gave the set away. In the third I was really scared because Tzveti had some injury and called the trainer at 1-2*. After that as you can see from the scoreline she won everything and is the next round absolutely deserved :D Btw, I think it's possible that Hrdinova is bigger than Davenport :tape:

Zuzana Ondraskova def. Andrea Petkovic 3-6 6-3 6-1

Saw only a bit of the second set and I really thought Andrea can win this...

Kveta Peschke def. Tatjana Malek 6-2 6-2

Malek was really playing like she can not lose anything from this match but Kveta was too strong for her.

Eleni Daniilidou def. Janette Husarova 6-0 6-1

Eleni just didn't have any problems, Janette wasn't fighting much, don't know what's going on with her.

wow, nice report!

Sesil K. did defend 8 match points, how can you say she didn't fight? I think she fought, but made much unforced errors and Stephanie was playing damn good. (someone told me that...)

Yes,Eva is bigger than Lindsay,I was sitting next to me,and she is sooooooo big and has a big serve and big game but movement is poor...

I saw she is now wearing Nike :D

Her sponsor was different few months ago.

For me it's always difficult to adjust to the USA hardcourt season, where everything is sunny and outdoors, to the european indoor season. Just looking at the pictures it's such a completely different environment.
