Claudine def. Magdalena Grzybowska 6-2 7-6 (1):D

congrats Claudine :)

I guess, she didn't know whom she was playing...

This morning, I read Magdalena's biography,
highest rank in aug.98 : 30!

I wonder why she hasn't an inj. ranking?

(pro since 1995, year-end ranks: 1998 52 1997 40 etc...
beating Huber, Martinez, Capriati, Seles, even Venus first round Wimbedlon in 1998!)

well done Claudine :D

Wow, SLovenia is playing so well. :o :) I'm glad that Estonia can get through pretty easily vs. Portugal, I'm so shocked and happy that such a small nation as Estonia, can produce talented players like Kaia. :) GO POLAND! Madzia vs. Claudine, im praying for a win for Madzia. Kremer is the heavy heavy fav vs. straczy and doubles should be the decider! GO POLAND! (nervous)

wonder what happened to Margalita ???

i guess it was tactics and it backfired. Margalita might and could have won her match.

Another good win for the glorious Dutch girls ... good luck, keep it going....

BTW, Magdalena Grzybowska's win over Venus at Wimbledon was in 1997 - that was the year they took until Saturday to get the first round completed. It rained a bit.

Congrats and well done to Tina, Maja and Slovenia! :)

They still can need to win a match or best two!, to be sure to play in playoff tomorrow Sat.

The seeded teams from Group B, C and D already have two wins and will today play for the group winner spot, and to be seeded 1-4 in the playoff.

Go SLO! :)
