I've never seen this girl play. What potential does she have? How far can she go? :)

I was incredibly impressed with her in Toronto. She hits a very very very hard ball, great serve, pretty good movement, she is a great doubles player. I think the moment her head will get together, when she gets a lil more consistent, she could easily do like a svetalana. Both have similarities, and I think Martina N will help her tremedously :D

ALG is not what most would call a great natural player in terms of ball-striking talent. But she is a hard worker and she uses her size advantage well, has developed a gigantic first serve, plays pretty aggressively from the baseline. A ranking in the lower echelon of the Top 10 is not out of the question for her imo.

she has massive potential-she has taken her time to develop rather than hitting the big time at 15/16 but that means she has a pretty solid game. shes improving her volleys, her serve is big, shes moves well for her height and her groundies are big off both sides. i agree with vogus that ALG can get into the top 10, i would imagine the french and aussie opens would be her best slams although she was impressive at the US this year. this may be the beginning of a resurgence in german tennis-she has already led them into world group 1 in the fed cup and should inspire others from her country.

hopefully she will live up to her potential and do some damage at the top of the game

isnt massive a little harsh. i seen her play....cant remember, but it was at the us open i think. she didnt really impress me that much. sure, when she got to the ball...she pounded it. that was rare though. getting to the ball. i think she's kinda slow around the court.

She plays like Sharapova only less consistent. Still too many errors and not much thought in her shots. But she has weapons that she can develop. Can't see her getting in the top 10 though. Top 20 max

She has improved heaps since I first saw her at Hopman this year. I think if she keeps improving she can make top 15 she has the game, very powerful. And I do think with a lot of work and pushing top 10 could be possible.

I like her. I also think that playing doubles with Navratilova will do wonders for her. If she keeps improving, she'll be a serious threat because she's got a huge game.

i think her game has improved a lot since the hopman cup, she hits the ball very hard, has a big serve, decent movement for her size and gets some unexpected placement on some tough balls. i think her serve although big isn't that good, placement wise, variety wise it's not that good, her movement could improve as well, it's not terrible and there are some balls you don't expect her to get back but she scrambles and does and gets a good shot back, havent really seen her volley so i guess they arent that good. she can be top 15, top 10 possibly.

i saw her at the hopman cup and she seemed like a top 40 player at best. i mean, little variety, easy to read serve, though i was powerful. but when i saw her at the USO, she has really improved!her groundstrokes are great, and her net game is good as well. i say top 20. maybe even top 10, depending on how much she can improve her mental strength.

ALGs serve is VERY good. She can hit it as hard as 120 MPH, and she has some variety with it. Yesterday she was serving wide and short up the line, and hitting kicker 2nd serves that did a lot of damage to Domashowska.

She's already in the 30s, with more consistency she can make the Top 20 quite easily. Then, who knows? It's a matter of improvement and mentality.

Top 10 I'd say. Her game makes me think at Molik's. They've got the same potential I think. It's cool for Germany which needs a great champion. But replacing Steffi will be tough... I hope media's pressure won't anihilate ALG.

I like her but she's too hit-or-miss, especially on the return. I think Top 10 is possible but she needs to improve her consistency and shot-selection considerably. I don't think it helps that her coach instructs her to hit harder and harder.

ALG has a chance to be a very good player like Nadia Petrova.
