One team is already garanteed Serbia and Montenegro represented by Ana Ivanovic :hearts: and Novak Djokovic  , they will win the tournament crushing everyone in their path  .
Olivia Lukavscevicz :o should play for Australia, she lives in the same suburb where I live and trained at the tennis club I'm at

You mean Lukaszewicz, right, ivanovic? Sorry, just being a smart arse. ;)
I don't know if Alicia Molik is completely ruled out. It was only speculated that she might not choose to compete due to her ongoing ear infection problem.
I think Pratty may have vowed never to play HC again after being snubbed in favour of Alicia in 2003. She was very incensed about not being invited because she was ranked higher than Alicia. But she was told that Lleyton wanted to make it up to Alicia for withdrawing due to chicken pox the previous year. Maybe she will forgive and forget.
Sam Stosur becomes the next logical choice but has a motherload of points coming off in the first couple of week in the new year. Somehow, I can't see her skipping Gold Coast to play for money with her ranking at stake.
Maybe Evie Dominikovic, Shayna MacDowell or Sophie Ferguson will get a guernsey.
Chris Guccione was being targeted the last time anything was mentioned.
It'll be a shocking week for Australian tennis at the HC either way. :o
SLOVAK REPUBLIC: Daniela Hantuchova, Dominik Hrbaty (This was an official announcement by the tournament PR person.)
SERBIA-MONTENEGRO: Ana Ivanovic, Novak Djokovic (This was announced @ Ana's official website. I had a look for myself. It's there, but not an official announcement.)

Ana said it on Serbian Tv as well. But I don't know is they are in MD or have to qualify.
If Molik doesn't play, Aus will be in big trouble but I'd be surprised if she didn't she is back on tour and a guaranteed 6 matches is what she needs right now, playing back to back. Sam will play Gold Coast all her family are always there and she gets huge support.
