Is the tournament making the players dress like this so there aren't problems? Is myskina trying to avoid unnecessary troubles? Is nike starting a new, really conservative clothing line? Are gigantic shorts the hot new thing in Russia? :tape:

Not very flattering.
We want hot sluts on the tennis court, not this bullshit! :)
It looks "okay"...maybe she's just trying to help Sania out.

If you visit countries like that, you should try to have at least a little bit respect. That rule goes for tourists and certainly should also be applied to sports stars as long as it doesnīt interfere with their duties. itīs not like they had to play in long shirts and trousers.
After all those xxs-shorts, Nastya must feel like running around in a bag  and martirogi, that was mean, as we all know that Nastya is probably the one who leads the "the less the better"-ranking (with Tati coming in as a close second);)

It is true that one should respect the customs of your host country when visiting. That's good sense and common courtesy.
The threats and other craziness that have swirled around this issue are lunacy.
yes, but at the AO some players were wearing some god awful yellow/greensih skirt made from similar mateorial - they should have just worn their bike pants and not the skirt, I mean you could see right through to their bike pants anyway! ;)
