French crowd is ridiculous!!!
My opinion is that they don't know anything about tennis and its rules...

Chinese crowd is very strange!
Last year, I watched Beijing and the crowd was very slow to react after a point, sometimes applauding DURING a point, and sometimes totally aslept!!!

How do you charaterize the OZ crowd? Friendly and warm?

I was also curious about the chinese crowd reaction/attitiude toward Japanese players. There have been a number of incidents this year between Japan and China, and it has carried to soccer matches.
I was just wondering if it was also carried over to tennis

I've only seen the Chinese crowd during the Shanghai Masters Cup, and it was one of the best crowds. Really enthusiastic and appreciative of the tennis, and applauding both players. Only problem was they were new to tennis, so they didnt know etiquette, like being quiet between serves, and not standing up in the middle of games etc.

How did they react during T.T. Sun - Serena match?
Disbelief or joy. Or a combo of both?

I understand it is not new, but I thought it reached particularly a high level this year. Maybe because it coincided with unpleseant diplomatic exchange of words between China and Japan

but i don't see it in tennis. not yet
Glad it did not spill over

You have obviously never seen a brit match being played at wimbledon, because its far from quiet and sleepy ;) .

yeap, but the French don't boo everyone as well... I was a bit stereotyping, I admit. ;)
