Sania reminds me a little of Sprem in 2003/2004!
She hits as hard as she can and win quite a lot of matches but next year, everybody will know her game and start to beat her by keeping the ball in play

BTW I like her

Just another piss-poor performance from sania from the report :( .The UE's tell the story.I think she needs to take a break from the game, get this fatwa thing over with, and sort out her head. She hasn't played well since this rubbish started. And she can't just blast away at everything and expect to be consistent. She's got plenty of time to get that concept into her head anyway.

Anyway she has a six week break to recover from her injuries, and work on some tactics!

Hey give her time. She''l learn in her own time. She's pretty new to the circuit. Not like she's been on it for ten years, and still hasn't changed. The go-for-broke game has worked pretty well for her all these years. Now its a different ball-game,and she'll figure it out soon.Especially after a few losses. ;)

I really love Sania and root like crazy for her but she's the most inconsistent player out there now. She's tough to watch because she has no plan on the court except to hit hard, harder and even harder.

Her game will be figured out pretty soon because most players are too smart not to figure her out and she'll drop off the map unless she listens to her coach and gets smart, in shape and most of all, SMART on the court.

And, another thing, Sania is way too defensive in interviews and press conferences. I saw a 30 minute interview with her on CNN International this past weekend and I could tell by her body language and her facial expressions that she was way too defensive. Like she was just waiting to jump on a question she didn't like. And she did. The program was kind of difficult to watch. I expected to see a friendly, open and warm young girl and instead saw a girl looking old and cautious. Not very pleasant.

The reporters point out what they think is wrong with her game and she gets snappy with them. She should know that the criticism is only going to get worse. Get a thicker skin, Sania.

She is getting more attention in the World than any other tennis player. And that has got to be very hard on a player who is only playing ok tennis.

She probably would be better off if she stayed in the States or maybe Europe for awhile where the attention isn't as mad as in India and the rest of Asia.

I've always thought that too. She's had a lot of hype and publicity but I think the hype has led her to be overrated by many at this point (like LDVTennis saying she was more talented than Sharapova and then drawing comparisons to Graf and Federer etc.).

I wonder how the Indian press will report it. I've seen a few articles after Sania's losses and they can be pretty harsh.

Not that big of a suprise, she is very powerful but very inconsistant, very erratic at times with her play, but she is a young player, she has time to improve, never taught she would come out and be the next big thing, she has a lot of work to do, but she has the time to do it.

Oh yeah, like it is very deep symbolism....you think you are Picasso?...even a monkey can come up with deeper stuff..
Actually ,it goes to show what an ignoramus you are , the term static refers to a state of equlibrium of particles or a body, so it is actually complimentary. It could also refer to electro-statics or electrical interference, in which given case, if you knew about the electronic operation of computers then you wouldn't apply it to acomputer's keyboard. Stupid to do so.

I agree with that. But she's hardly had any coaching until now,so thats no surprise. She'll get better once she has a few more bad losses like this. Her basic problem is that she is too damn stubborn. She has been winning all these years just by hitting winners left and right. Now she has to do a little more than that to get herself out of holes. At the moment she doesn't want to accept.A few more losses and she will.
If you really like her that much, then you'll be patient with her and not expect consistency overnight. This is her game, and it will definitely take some time for her to achieve any consistency with such a low-percentage game.

And, another thing, Sania is way too defensive in interviews and press conferences. I saw a 30 minute interview with her on CNN International this past weekend and I could tell by her body language and her facial expressions that she was way too defensive. If you'd ever met Sania you wouldn't say that. She's a great kid, warm, friendly, and down to earth.Your forgetting that she's under a lot of stress at the moment because of all this controversy surrounding her.Its tough for anyone, let alone an 18 year old kid.And she's already under too much pressure to win all her matches.

Did you see her interviews from the USO or even wimbledon? That was a totally different Sania. She was definitely a cheerful, witty kid. That was the real sania. She's hard not to like when she's being herself. Not the snappy brat you see now.I'd give her a bit of time to get over this whole stupid Fatwa controversy. She'll be back to her old self once she has some time off.

And i think she's become defensive about her game because she's always under the spotlight from the indian media, and she's always being asked the same old questions over and over again. She's always being reprimanded for being too agressive. It does get to a person after some time.

Goes to show once more what an annoying minor ignoramus you are. I gave you SEVERAL possible interpretations of the term "static" (in any way,you actually meant statiscs) and you call that "literal". Amazing moron.
In addition you were posting a visual representation,ie, a signifier of an actual term, therefore it pertains to Semiotics.

I have seen her play live a number of times, and even as a junior so you can get off your high-horse buddy  .She even hit a winner at 98MPH at wimbly as recorded by the radar. She was consistently hitting at 90-95mph so don't give me that bull.I saw her play maria and maria was deinfitely being overpowered.Even serena was.

I'm not one of the bandwagon jumpers on this board who's suddenly decided to become a fan because she has a Huge forehand ,but someone who's followed her career on and off for two years so don't try to act big with me.And there is much more to sania's forehand than mere Bigness, because pure power is not something that wins me over. And if she herself ever realises that she'll become consistent.Until then,i'm willing to be patient with outrageous losses to challenger level players :tape:

Anyway there are more important things than power.
