This is the worst qualy draw ever :tape: . Some players only have to win 1 match to get into a Tier III :o  .

I am sure they could have found some Indian juniors or bagel girls off the street and had them compete in this draw

lol - they should have tell the poor people about it
then they could have signed in - then hitting one ball and then retire
and then go to the office to get the cheque

i think it bring even more thn 200$ to loose first round there

hahahhahahahhaha

some day later....

hahahahhahahahahahahha
hahahhahahahahhahahahaha

Next year I sponsor a trip for all young german girls to Kalkutta and then they grab all the points. I mean thats 7.25 points just for getting through that shit and some money which is enough for the flight!

7 points, thats more then winning a 10K, and that is much more difficult.

hahahahahahahahahhahahaa

Very sad.

This is what happens when there's a 16 player draw with 3 WTA tourneys the same week. Nobody wants to take the risk of flying all the way to India only to miss the cutoffs. Really sad for the tourney and players who could have played here...

The stanford draw has NEVER been even remotely close to this bad. at most stanford has had a number of first round byes but always full second and third round matches

This is embarassing.

And, no, it is nowhere near as bad as the Stanford qualies were in 2002 or 2003.

This is even worse than the Tashkent qualies last year, when it was almost filled with Uzbek players.

Wow, such a small draw. :help:

They should have filled it up with Indian "veteran" players, particular that Varanaratnam girl who always wins a qualy r1 match in Hyderabad despite sucking in challengers.

There needs to be a limitation of ITF and WTA events in one week. That's why there are so many ranked players cos almost anyone can get in somewhere and win a match or two and be ranked.

There are so many Indian players who could have played in Qualy
why arent they there??

They probably didn't want to risk going all the way to Kolkata and miss the cutoffs of a 16 player draw. Too bad. :(

Quite a few have gone to Jakarta for the $10K too.

If India has a tournament it should make sure that all promising home players are able to play (or that as many Indian players play as possible)
thats the way tennis gets promoted, but India might think that Sania is enough promotion at the moment

You think so? Every player here would have double bagled her for sure.
