I am so sorry for her!

Again she has no luck in keeping that crown!

When can she conquer it back?

Of course!! She'll get it back in no time!! Dont be so sad Oizo....if she can get it back from Venus the first time, then she can definitely get it back again.

Itīs so unfair, that a player who doesnīt play at a tourney, becomes # 1.....but that is the ranking system! :fiery:

well i think winning titles means more to Jennifer
it is not as though she is not going to get ner No1 ranking back
she will even go all the way to end the year as no1:bounce: :bounce:

I heard Venus wasn't going to Berlin to defend those points there, if that's true then I THINK Jen can regain number 1 spot...

.. I'll go and check later

I think it's OK Jen is not #1 now. The pressure will be more on Venus I think to keep that spot. Jen can just worry about playing her best and winning some tournaments. All eyes will be on Venus.

Jen already passed Arantxa for weeks at #1, and I really believe she can pass Tracy Austin (who's at 22) and then Lindsay (who's at 28). It will be an exciting race between Venus and Jen til the end of the year!

yes, sure, the pressure will be more on venus, but I don't think all eyes will be on her. jen is somehow under pressure,too...

Lucky for us, Jen seems to perform very well under pressure ;)

If Jen can repeat her strong showings at Wimby and US Open (perhaps even win? :bounce: ), I think she has a good shot at passing Lindsay. Venus has A LOT to defend after RG.

The number one position may be gone for now, but there is a long year ahead.............................

GO CAPPA!

Jenny doesnīt put herself under pressure like Venus. At least when it comes to the #1 spot. Venus only played Amelia Island to get more points and donīt let the gap become bigger. ;) :fiery:

Hey all, the latter part of the year "could" be great for all us Capriati fans. Venus has more points to defend than Jennifer, and Jennifer could win in Wimbeldon and Us Open this year. So we could see the race for number one intensify, plus don't you think with all that drive for Jennifer to reach number one and win tourneys that if Jennifer meets Venus in a final she could get that "big" win over her finally. We'll see...........................

GO CAPPA!

I think Jen is preferring to concentrate on the Slams so hopefully some very positive results this year, even more than last!!

as well as the Tier I tourneys
so far semi-finals n finals
she should be able to take more than the 3 she won last year

Iīd LOVE so much to see Jen beat Venus in the Wimbly final ! :D :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :wavey:
That would be fun! ;) :D
