Daniela Hantuchova SVK
We have already reached the semifinals and at this point only one of the favourites of our president CooCooCachoo is still standing. World number one in PYW Daniela Hantuchova proves she will get a tough time defending her US Open title from last year. She won the first set against top American Lindsay Davenport, but then let her guard down so Lindsay could take over again.
Tenth seed Jelena Jankovic foughthard to try and see off experienced Bulgarian Magdalena Maleeva. After dropping the first set, she bageled Maleeva, who did not get nervous though. Maleeva took the third set comfortably.
World number two Elena Dementieva also had no easy task when playing Australia's Alicia Molik. She lost the first set easily and seemed on her way out. It was her fighting spirit though that prevailed. She won the second and third set with one break only, but it was enough.
The last match was between unseeded players. Anna-Lena Groenefeld however showed she may very well become a big force in PYW. She had no trouble whatsoever with Elena Likhovtseva, dropping only four games.
All is explained, so it's now up to you to VOTE!
