Obviously they had addictions to morphine, other drugs, and were alcoholics but what brought them to this? I mean so many of them ended up the same way. I can think of these off the top of my head.

Judy Garland
Edith Piaf
Marilyn Monroe
Inger Stevens
Jean Seberg
Cass Elliot

Many others went through similar things such as Elizabeth Taylor but you never heard anything like this from people like Katherine Hepburn or Sofia Loren although they were known for their love affairs.Elloit and Piaf didn't die directly from an overdose or anything but I am sure their addictions contributed to their demise. Anyone want to offer some insight?
