Kuznetsova- after last year and the drug scandle- I wouldn';t have though.

Whatt happened to the rule that Gold Exempt players had to the play the bigger tournament (Linz) if on the same week- maybe I misinterpreted the rule??

hmm I thought it was the top 6 - but even so, then Kimmie should have to play Linz...but the WTA Tour would be :retard:s if they didn't let her play Hasselt... but then again...the WTA Tour are :retard:s most of the time~ ;)

My fall break (one week that is packed with studying  ) will be the week before Hasselt. I might still be able to go to one or two days of qualies though. I just hate it how you cannot watch the practice sessions of most players (you can only watch when qualies matches are over). I probably will end up not going

Anyway, they say we should have either Lena D, Nastya or Sveta, i'd rather have Lena and I don't like Nastya that much, but I guess it's her who'll cme cause Lena needs to qualify for the masters and Sveta, as you said, won't probably come back in Belgium...

Svetlana won't play she said in an interview at Kremlin Cup she'd play for Russia in Fed Cup but not in Belgium, so why if she won't play for her country in Belgium would she play Hasselt. Also in GM it was posted Elena is one of the GE players who can only play one tier III a year (like Kim) and she has already played one, don't know if she is, but if she is that automatically means no Hasselt. So of the three Russians, Anastasia is the most likely.

GOOOOOOOO KIMMMMMMMM:banana:!!!!!!!!

~|Naomi|~
Oct 18th, 2005, 03:28 AM
Who is the 3rd wildcard?

So top 8 seeds should be
1. Kim
2. Molik
3. Dechy
4. Schiavone
5. Safina (could withdraw, withdrew from Zurich with a wrist injury:sad: )
6. Kirilenko
7. Medina
8.Farina

next to be seeded is Anna.

Kim still has to play well to win, there are some in form girls on that list. Schiavone - Moscow final, beating Elena, Svetlana & Mauresmo, gave Kim her toughest match in Luxembourg; Dechy - Luxembourg semis; Safina - Luxembourg & Moscow semis - beating Maria; Kirilenko - won Beijing; & Alicia - I don't know why but I just get the feeling she has to snap out of it soon and when she does watch out:p & Anna is a floater.

So hope Kim can win in front of her home crowd:)

err didn't Kim slaughterDechy in the semi's at Lux though? :hehehe: Kirilenko won Beijing, that was like 3-4 weeks ago now, and she has a sore knee and I don't think Beijing was on the same surface was it? Plus Svetlana's been playing crap for ages now! ;)

Momo and Schiavone might push Kim though... we'll see! ;)

Molik and Dechy won't give Kim any trouble, IMO. I think Schiavone and Chakvetadze might be the hardest to beat.

I think they stuffed up the lists somehow...I thinkthat Foretz and Skavronskaia still have to play quallies...same with Loit and Schruff... that would make the quallies back to 32 (with the 4 from pre quallies), and it then leaves the 4 spots in the MD for the qualifiers...

uhh dude, I am well aware of how that works. I have been following tennis probably longer than you have! :ras: :p

And I know... Misa was ranked 91 when she signed up for the tourny, but now she's 68 so she'd have been first SEED in quallies even if Schruff and Loit had to play. BUT the thing is... how come Schruff and Loit are now both listed above Sprem...because they were the first 2 in quallies above Misa for the last week...and now suddenly their ranking was good enough for them to be above Sprem in the MD?
