TZS will give 2 WC's to Slovenian players: one will be given to Maja Matevzic (Pisnik gave very odd excuse she mustn't play on hardcourts) the other WC will go either to Andreja Klepac or Masa Zec Peskiric.

2 WCs in the qualies will be rewarded to Volk, Nakic or Obrez and one WC for Slovenian double in the MD.

It seems Rita Grande will play here as she is the last one to get in the MD (98th in the rankings).

Flavia Pennetta and Jelena Jankovic have cancelled their participation whereas Jelena Dokic asked for a WC! Expect players from Italy, Croatia, Austria, Czech Republic to play here according to the director of the tournament!

Hmm if the 8th seed is ranked 62, then Misa won't have to qualify! :D

Hard court. Arena (in Portorož) and the other courts were clay (as can be seen in old pictures of fed cup for example) but they changed the surface to hard court just for this.

well, i thought it was a very bad shoulder injury, and the lady IS 33 years old, so i reckon she'll be quitting this year, but it seems she's back to the circuit in pilot pen tourny - so we'll see.

She has been training. I think her knee is alright, but I guess they don't want to rush it, and they wanna make sure it's strong enough again...so she's coming back in Luxembourg instead.

I hope Slovenian TV will be showing some matches

Slovenian TV will cover matches every day from 14:55 - 17.00.

All wildcards were given to slovenian players (Mima Jausevec - slovenian FED CUP captain helped choosing them) cause TZS (Slovene tennis association) want's to promote tennis in Slovenia. Hope our girls will do great, esspecially Kata - they should cause I'll be there all 9 days cheering for them!!

Today (Friday), time not specified, but I suspect very late afternoon, because they will have opening party then/after (evening). Main draw will be done on Sunday (start at 12.00 CET).
