Now,guys,we must all believe in a final:bounce:
I love Stéphanie, but we all know it's very difficult to confirm an upset, especially against a fellowcountryplayer and moreover our goddess:hearts: .
The bad point:play at 10h30:(
In semi, whether it's Coetzer whi could be exhausted(two long matches and she plays today's night)or Iva,whose Sandrine loves the game.
I hope this will be Iva(6-1 6-2 again)
Final:bounce: !Final:bounce: !Final:bounce: !
And TOP TEN:bounce:
Apr 19th, 2002, 01:02 PM
Wow, this certainly is shaping up to be an interesting tournament! :o You guys are going to have to cheer for me again today as I'll be back in the Wonderful World of Disney. :( Although I'm disappointed for Mon, I'm happy for Stef. Besides, it certiainly makes the road a little less bumpy for our goddess. ;) And Iva's stilll alive! :D
Sandrine did herself a huge favor by dispatching Jill in straight sets after that marathon against Ai. I trust Sandrine will put on a clinic and give her French apprentice a tennis lesson today. It appears she's just warming up. ;) :fiery:
ALLEZ MY SWEET! ONWARD AND UPWARD INTO THE TOP 10!!! :bounce:
Apr 19th, 2002, 01:22 PM
YES TOP 10! :D
Apr 20th, 2002, 01:56 AM
Iva will be packing her bags tomorrow. ;)
Sandrine and Iva must be thrilled to be facing one another in the semis.
And ... poor Serena. :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:
Apr 20th, 2002, 02:07 AM
Sorry Iva :(
Apr 20th, 2002, 02:11 AM
May the best player win :) Sandrine certainly has the wood over Iva tho :o

Apr 20th, 2002, 03:28 AM
*tosses a xanax to Terry*
I'm so sorry I dont have access to a VCR!!! cause I have a feeling this one's gonna be a classic. I'd be happy for Iva if she won but there's no way in hell Im rooting for her here. This is a chance for Sandrine to break into the Top 10 in what might be (hopefully not) her last year.
CRUSH IVA!!! :fiery: (but be gentle) ;)
Apr 20th, 2002, 03:37 AM
Allez Sandrine!! :fiery:
You must win the Battleground, Sandrine!! :D
Apr 20th, 2002, 06:34 AM

Here's an article I just found on Yahoo...
With Foretz leading 2-1 in the first set, Testud twisted her right ankle as she moved to the net. Play was halted for about 10 minutes while she was tended to by trainers.
"I couldn't really move anymore and especially going to the right side so I just tried to make her run,'' Testud said. ``I was just trying to hang out there and trying to make the point as short as possible.''
Apr 20th, 2002, 02:48 PM
Kudos to Sandrine for sticking it out and winning :) Some players would just give up.
I hope she is OK for the SF....I want to see both girls play their hearts out.
Apr 20th, 2002, 03:37 PM
I hope her ankle is feeling better today - i'd really hate to see her have to default.
However, she found a way to fight through the pain yesterday, maybe she can do it today too!
(i wont be able to watch you play on TV today! :(
Apr 20th, 2002, 03:40 PM
WOW. Iva against Sandrine! was there ever a meeting?
Apr 20th, 2002, 07:02 PM
No top 10 yet for Sandrine
Iva had a lot of new fans today after she went up, and none of you guys were there :(
I think I'm going to cheer for Patty in the finals :(
Apr 20th, 2002, 07:06 PM
Sorry to Sandrine. I hope her ankle was OK.
I cant contain my joy cos its been so freakin long...but dont fret, Sandrine will bounce back *and* get that rank...its a mere formality.
Why cheer for Patty tho? The more Iva fans the better! She has a shocking record against Patty :o
Apr 20th, 2002, 08:10 PM
They showed on CBS that Sandrine was suffering from the injury she sustained. Kudos to her for even playing.
Hope you recover quickly.
Apr 21st, 2002, 02:23 AM
If her ankle's bothering her at all she should skip Fed Cup but I know she won't because Sandrine wouldn't want to let Guy, her teammates, and her country down. PLEASE take care of that ankle, Sweetie!
Sandrine did well to get to the semis here and Im proud of the grit she displayed in playing through and pulling out those three set matches. This is a very good sign with RG and Wimby coming up.
Looks like I'll be in Universal Studios tomorrow before heading home Monday. Having a wonderful time although I was thinking about Sandrine and you guys today.
I want Sandrine and Nathalie to team up more in doubles :D
Apr 21st, 2002, 06:00 AM
I hope Sandrine's ankle injury isn't serious. If she's well, her and Nat should kick some booty in Buenos Aires. ;)
As far as future tourneys, Nat and Meilen have had recent success so I believe they'll be sticking together and I don't see Sandrine breaking up with Roby anytime soon. Scotty, you have to see Roby live to appreciate her lightning fast hands. She's adorable, a pleasure to watch, and she compliments Sandrine really well. The only time you'll see Sandrine playing with someone else is if Roby is playing challengers.
Apr 21st, 2002, 06:03 AM
i didn't say I didn't like roby stupid :p
Apr 21st, 2002, 06:11 AM
well excuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuse me!!! :p
Apr 21st, 2002, 12:27 PM
I saw the SF match today on delay guys, and yes Sandrine was obvioulsy hindered by that ankle :( she was alos spraying a lot of errors due to her limited movement. Not the best match played by these two...but Iva played well on key points. It was great how they hugged at the end :)
