I feel the same there - do you think that it is still her back....I guess it must be. I guess he wanted try to come back as opposed to dissapointing all the event organisers by note turning up. This leaves it open for kim - she must be breathing a sigh of relief ;)

The commentators just announced that Davenport is considering pulling out of the rest of tournaments leading to the US Open and Sharapova has a excellent chance at becoming #1.

There will only be like 22 points difference between Maria and Lindsay now that Lindsay had to retire against ALG. I'm sure Lindsay's gonna lose points from San Diego too (I assume she played there last year)...and Maria is still playing 2 other tourneys before the USO - so she does have a good chance at #1 if Lindsay doesn't play until the USO!
