Sesil sucks. That franch open was a fluke.

I disagree that franch open was a fluke. Sesil has a big potential but she is still very young.

I feared that

she hasn't any success indoors and that was in Japan for Fed Cup, after all
thanks god Maggie beat Nakamura 3-6 6-4 6-3 after that

let's see if Maggie will have the courage and let Pironkova play the match vs Nakamura which she surely will win while Sesil might have some problems due to today's loss

I just hope doubles won't decide this tie :o

Go Bulgaria :yeah: :D

Sesil

I think this loss might hurt her a bit longer, because it seems to be a complete waredown.

I was also surprised that Maggie had so many problems with Nakamura.

Maggie has beaten three Japanese players in a row nwo so let's hope she wont do a Sugiyama.

And ghosts I think it would be right to give Pitnokova a chance either.
I am just not so sure if Maggie can beat Morigami. :(

Pironkova is being underestimated by the captain if she doesn't play a singles. She is a huge talent and future Top 5 player, in my opinion.

This loss won't hurt Sesil that much I hope
she's quite positive in an interview after today's matches

she says she believes we didn't play very well but is also sure we'll do better tomorrow
explains her loss with the fact that she totally lost concentration in the third
(btw, she had a 3-1 lead in the second set TB)

Maggie's match wasn't that close as she had early breaks in the last two sets :)

Yes, but only the victory now counts. ;) And it surely is a tough decision.

Akiko is a totally different player in Fed Cup.

She was the first player Vaidisova lost to who was ranked below her.

Those Japanese girls can play like b*stards when they want to, I think all of them, from Asagoe to Sugiyama, have huge whopping scalps hanging from their belts.

Morigami is capable of great tennis, as is Nakamura, so its pretty stupid to criticise the Bulgarians unless you've seen the matches. To me its not a surprise that Morigami can beat Sesil. Its not like Sesil is a top player, far from it.

Ai yi yi... Sesil still has a long way to go... mentally
She was a nervewreck at Wimbledon.
Well she has plenty of time to get her rear in gear.... Good luck for the many coming years ahead, Sesil. Better luck next time :)

Morigami yes, but Nakamura on indoor should be easy for Maggie.....

I just hope this goes to the doubles because I strongly believe that Japanese will take the doubles since they have such good doubles players.

Give Sesil a break! She's only 15.Akiko is very experienced, and a pretty good player.I knew Sesil's FO heroics would backfire on her:P.I knew she'd find the going tough on fast courts. She's good on clay, but doesn't have the weapons to make much of an impact on grass and hard courts.
