I saw that score on one of the challenger matches...

Please post your comments,In the 1st set you are totally dominant, winning 61 in 20 minutes, than fail to win a game on last 2 sets, lost these sets in total of 35 minutes!,yeah I know everything can happen on tennis matches with these kind of scoring system, but scoreline looked me strange...

Mine worst memory about these type of matches ; Once I lost 26 62 62,because I fell down with twisted my ankle at 2-2 in the 2nd set

Well dunno  probably, much better play from Hana and an injury from Sabine...
eg: Dokic def. Martinez 1/6 6/0 6/1 (losing 1 set in 16 min) ;)

Maybe in the 1st set the player that lost it 6-1 couldn't get a ball in court then found her rythm.

You can if your name is Sabine Klaschka (she's the one who lost by that score). ;)

Okay here are two reports on Sabine that I've written last year, that should explain it ;)

1. From $10K Bielefeld:
Nicole Seitenbecher def. Sabine Klaschka 6-0 6-1 :o :o :o  :haha:  :help:

OMG Sabine :o :o :o I looked forward to seeing her play but I definitely didn't expect THAT. Eggy, please tell me that she isn't always like that.
Her match only started at 8 pm because of the rain. Maybe that was what pissed her off from the FIRST point of the match on. In the first 2 games she threw her racket several times (once into the backfence), cursed and hit a ball over the fence. And it got WORSE. :o
From 0-3 she totally TANKED the match. She wouldn't try to get drop-shots that landed on the service-line. She hit every shot as hard as possible and most of them were metres out or wide. She served lots of DF's. The spectators were stunned. :speakles:
But the craziest moment came at 0-5. When they had sat down Sabine's father advised her sister Carmen to bring her a banana. Carmen went down to Sabine and put the banana on her bench. Then, when Carmen just turned around to return to the terrace, Sabine took the banana and threw it behind her over her shoulder without looking, hitting Carmen in the head with it. :haha: Everyone was laughing, even Carmen. ;)
In the 2nd set Sabine pretended to care but she was never into the match. She lost in 30 minutes, stormed off and wasn't seen again.
Although it was really really funny I'm quite disappointed because if Sabine had tried, it could have been a very nice match. In the few rallies of the match Nicole played really well. She is a feisty little player, and I'm glad that she will get 2 bonus-points. :)

2. From German National Championships:

Wörle def. Klaschka 7-6 6-2

First set was very close, I think there weren't any breaks. Both made quite a few errors, especially Sabine, and in the tie-break she made too many which cost her the set.
Unfortunately Sabine (as expected by me) went into tank-mode in the 2nd set. :o Totally pissed off, from 0-2 she just bashed the ball without interest. At 0-5 0-40 some of those shots surprisingly went in and she won two games, but instead of trying to fight she threw away the next game with 4 errors. :o
It's too bad that Sabine has a Roesch-like attitude (or Dokic like, if you want). This will prevent her from moving up the ranks which is very sad since her game is very nice apart from that. :( And it's the reason that I dislike her a bit. :o

thats typical Sabine, when things go wrong, they go wrong very fast

must have been in another bad mood, or something happened in middle of match
what a tank job :o

It's same as many people who wins 1st set 7-6 will win the 2nd set like 6-2 :)

But it could be slow starter or just find the wekness of opponent during break betwenn sets

Easy:

You lose 1st set real easy, cant seem to get the ball in court and your game is just sucking.

2nd set, other players sortof relaxes, you win, say, 2 games in a row, you get confidence, start hitting well, go up 3-0, get confidence, etc etc :p

I reakon the player who won tanked the first when they were a break down. What's the point of making a come back when you can concentrate of the second and third set?
