You have it wrong. That disease isn't Momo, it's called Casanovitis.

It doesn't come from that disease :rolleyes:
In French "Mau" is to be pronounced like "Mo", so if you look at her name : MoresMo... You have your answer. But personally I dont like this nickname, I prefer to use her 1st name: Amélie ;)

Hell, IS that her nickname? Or just something people on this board call her? I've never heard any of the players call her anything but Amelie.

Her real nickname is "Amé", all the french players call her that way, and all have their own nickname...

I have nothing wrong thanks... every disease has a shortened name for the most part. :rolleyes:

the nickname "choker" was derived from the fact that Mauresmo cant win a big match in a grand slam.. even when the draw is upen up for her.

It is obviously derived from Mauresmo, but I always thought it was faintly analogous with such other nicknames as "Guga".

Meanwhile, I see that venusfan is doing his or her best to further the Williams fans' (usually undeserved) reputation for attacking other players completely gratuitously. There was no need at all for that comment on this thread. No one had made any nasty comments about Venus or Serena, so the usual excuse "we just defend our faves" does not apply. The pity of it is that all the nice Williams fans - and there are many of them - get tainted by posts like that.

I wonder if there is a disease that causes lack of sense of humor.

(and if I have it :unsure: )

It's obviously from her last name. But I must say that this nickname sounds too "manly" and I am not sure if it implies some wicked joke on her account

Au = o)+m = mo
o = o +m = mo
mo+mo = momo

How in the hell does MOMO sound manly? Is it because it rhymes with Homo? I mean come on here. Momo doesn't sound manly at all. It is a play on her last name but it is appropriate because she is homosexual too. She couldn't ask for a better nickname imho. Sheesh at some folks up in here.
