Worst Reaction to Winning a Major

what's your least favorable reaction of someone winning a major? whether they were too 'in your face', didn't get excited enough, what kinda ruins it for you?

I think it's not very favorable reaction when someone's favorite gets beaten and they have to watch the other player being all happy. But other than that, who isn't excited to win a major?!

I remember thinking how very unhappy Anastasia Myskina looked for winning her first major. Though it is totally understandable.

I don't know if it's just me... but Venus' reaction was amazing and 'slap Davenport in the face' as well... she BARELY recognized Lindsay in her speech (in fact Sue had to pry it out of her)

They played Serena winning over her injured sister Wimbledon 03 and that was hardly any happiness at all

You kinda answered your own 'questioning' there. Her sister was injured, to celebrate and dance around with the Wimbledon trophy would be slapping her injured sister in the face. Serena's never really emoted after beating her sister, that is 100% understandable.

In fairness to Svetlana I think a lot of Russians were affected that week by the school shootings in Beslan. Both girls mentioned it in their speech and both wore black ribbons and maybe they felt it was inappropriate to be seen going crazy and jumping about screaming while other Russians watched on TV.

Nastya didn't really celebrate that much. I'm sure she was excited but in an interview I read she said she didn't know how to react becuase Elena was her friend. I beat if she beat Venus or Serena or Lidsay or Henin or anyone no-russian except Sharapova she would of went mad lol.

I think Nastya's reaction - to run over and hug Elena, and whisper that it was only a game - was pretty incredible. Shows how much compassion she had for her friend. That's not "showing no emotions" - it actually shows that she's a great person as well as a great player.

I thought that they were dancing too, but it's obvious that they were not. Regardless of that, I do believe that Richard probably should have just stayed in the stands. LD was still on the court, and I kinda saw it like a violation of an unwritten rule(a la Hingis walking over to Steffi's side of the court to call a shot).

I didnt like Myskina's reaction. She didnt even smile, just walked to the net. Most ppl show more emotion at winning a first round! Sure, it was her friend, but Serena showed a lot more emotion when she was beating her sister.

Nastya said in some interview that she did for Lena. She said she knew how Lena was feeling on that day so she didn't want to celebrate so much. Probably Nastya's big celebration could have been very painfull for Lena.

I'm a die-hard Monica fan, but I don't think Steffi was fake at all. She had gone through a lot at that time...dad in jail, foot problems, people questioning the legitimacy of her Majors during Monica's absence (rightfully so)...but I don't fault her for running to her family right after the match.
